Aug 9, 2009 - Im glad you are thinking of this stuff, I wish more were... not just about ambition, goals, and focus, (because we have plenty of assholes doing that) but in the bigger scheme about what makes us happy and how we can be better people. I sincerely wish you the best of luck and yeah, jamesons is always comfort, but not solution.

I feel the exact same way... Great topic, btw, got a Video Response com'n tomorrow :) so until then!...uh...*insert really encouraging, inspiring, motivation speech (i.e. I have a dream) here*

Aug 10, 2009 - Danielson, you are my favorite :) I can't wait til you go on your road trip! Hopefully I'll be able to get lunch or dinner with you sometime!!!! Rambling is always good :) But I know what you mean about being afraid you're not gonna achieve your goals. But unlike me, I know you will achieve them.

Aug 10, 2009 - Hey Dan, great to see you again. I know you won't like hearing this, but the truth is your attractiveness will open a lot of doors for you. You'll still need hard work to succeed, but you've got a step up on a lot of people. There are probably lots of success stories shared with you, but I didn't achieve any of my dreams or goals from when I was your age and life still turned out all right. Turns out there were some other things I wanted that I didn't even know about at 22. Good luck!

Aug 10, 2009 - Hey Dan, First, love your vids. I understand. The way I think of it, Dream big, but be prepared to fail big. But you just have to have faith that, even if you dreams don't pan out, fate will have other plans for you. But I think you'll do great, and can't wait to see what the future has in store for you. Funny part is, I'm the opposite, I have no clue what i want to do, and at 22, it's scary. I envy ppl like you who know what you want. So cherish it, and chase it with all your heart.:)

Aug 10, 2009 - Thank you! I hate to say it as well, but image plays a big role in a lot of things, especially in the film/television industry. We'll see what happens :) Thats very true too. I'm still quite young, even though 20yrs old to me sounds ancient haha, but I still have a lot to experience and a lot to do, so I'm sure I'll find things that I want that I do not know I want just yet. Thank you for the comment!
stotan88 Says:
Aug 10, 2009 - Thank you! That really means a lot :) I know several other people who, like you, are not sure quite what they want to do with their life just yet. I guess I should consider myself lucky for discovering my passion early on. But, just keep doing things, experiencing things, learning things, and your passion will find you. Just make sure you're doing what you love with this life you have. Thanks so much for the comment!!

Aug 11, 2009 - Hey Dan Im about to turn 18 and go to college. An enormous pressure is put on to succeed in not just school, it seems, but life as well. My dream is to travel and immerse myself in foreign culture and language. I keep on saying to myself that a business degree is going to help me get money to help me travel where I want to go in the world. I dont know if college or anything is going to work out. Im in the same boat. Looking for answers to questions that cannot answer to one specific person.

Aug 12, 2009 - You're wrong about something, my friend. There aren't hundreds of other Dan Goldbergs out there. Just one. And that's why you'll do very well for yourself. You're really passionate about your work, just as much as when we worked together back in the day. That's gonna take you some awesome places in the coming years, and you've got an Adam Tuck guarantee that they'll be exciting places, and they won't disappoint. Don't be nervous, be excited. It's an exciting time in our lives. Cheers buddy.

Aug 12, 2009 - you are SO on your way , on the right path(the one you chose/wanted) , doing the right things , at the right moments .... and the restlessness you're experiencing , my gosh , it's just pure enthuziasm :) ; when it comes on so strongly you know what you have to do : start doing , no matter the hour etc It's like your inspiration is working top speed and you're just reluctant about manifesting it , materializing your idea(l)s. Let it come to you , and allow yourself to be all that you are .
stotan88 Says:
Aug 12, 2009 - Adam, thank you so much for that man, I really appreciate it. I guess all we can do is just keep on keeping on :) And while I'm nervous and scared nonetheless, there is definitely excitement too. thanks again man, means a lot coming form someone like you! hope all is well for you this summer!!!
stotan88 Says:
Aug 12, 2009 - I know I'm on the "right" path, but I am just scared i'll never make it as far down that path as I hope. But I guess thats something I cannot predict. And yeah, very true. I AM enthusiastic about it, and sometimes I feel, perhaps, TOO enthusiastic, that it scares me because I realize how far I do have to go and the daunting dreams ahead of me. But, once again, I guess it all comes down to making the most of what you have and just doing your best. What more can you do, right? Thanks :D

Aug 16, 2009 - "what do you do to help yourself gain confidence?" Make it happen!! Tell yourself you have NO choice! Zero. If you REALLY want to succeed....
stotan88 Says:
Aug 16, 2009 - you're right, and you know what i DO do that, I do. I tell myself that I don't have a choice. But at the same time that still scares me, since there is so much pressure. I guess all I can do is remember that and just keep trucking along. Thanks for your comment :)

Sep 9, 2009 - This summer I felt like I completely wasted 3 months of my life, just waiting to start University (next week), its the most sickening feeling to get to the end of a day and look back and realise you've done nothing at all. In the end its better to do anything, anything at all than worry about the future. Read lots, Write lots, and if your particually energetic reorganise furniture. You can worry about been successful your whole life, but you can only really judge it on your death bed.

Sep 20, 2009 - I had so many dreams and ideas of what i was going to be when i was younger and they've changed so much as i've grown up. I dreamed of being a teacher a few years ago and suddenly i realised it wasn't for me. This scared me so much because i didn't have that dream any more. But now i do a dream job. A person once told me his grandmother he wanted to be an actress when he was older - she laughed. He followed his dreams and made it big. Keep chasing those dreams, you can make it :)

Sep 30, 2009 - Hi Dan, I just found your videos today and I am ecstatic that I did! They are very thought provoking. I am glad that there is someone out there diving a little deeper, past the surface of human existance. The journey is almost as Important as acheiving your goals. keep working hard, and never give up. In my opinion as long as you enjoy the process and learn from your mistakes you cannot fail. Success is happiness, if you can acheive that your life should be complete. Good luck! Kayla
stotan88 Says:
Sep 30, 2009 - Thank you Kayla!! That really means a lot to me :) And you're right. I have to remember to "enjoy the ride", and I do enjoy what I'm doing these days in order to achieve my goals. I just get caught up sometimes in focussing so hard on the future that I forget to really embrace the present. Thanks again for you comment :)

Oct 20, 2009 - i feel exactly the same you do about everything you've mentioned in this video. what i think is that when your confidence is low and your hope has been drained out you've just got to think that you were meant to do this. if you weren't meant to do this, god wouldn't have gave you that gift or put that desire in your heart. of course there are challenges that make you just want to give up and dig a hole in another direction but it's meant to be and you can't give up.
TheRosieShmosie Says:
Oct 20, 2009 - p.s. i think you'll make it to japan, don't worry. i can tell that you are a really sweet guy and that you've got a lot going for you.

Aug 8, 2009 - Hey Dan! I know the feeling, believe me. But you know, its that fear that keeps us from settling with what we have. Coupled with our determination we can't settle for anything less, and we have to keep moving. Yes, it's incredibly scary, but that's what makes it so exciting and so thrilling when everything falls into place. Believe me, Dan, if anyone will fulfill his dreams, you will. Just keep on with what you are doing, keep striving higher and use your fear as fuel! - Emma :) xo
