I just meant you can clap whenever the hell you damn well want to. 1+2+3+4+, numbers are the downbeats and the + are the upbeats. Away foul beast!

Sep 21, 2009 - my point exactly, i can't believe i'm having this conversation with a self-professed musician. i'm just pointing out that the preferred manner of clapping to songs like these is clapping to the even-numbered beats (that's beat 2 and beat 4 in case your math is worse than your musical skills). clapping on any other beat simply makes you sound like a doofus my friend, whether you really want to force it or not.
