Oct 24, 2009 - Answer these questions: 1. What political doctrine do President Obama and his administration have in common with Communism? 2. What political doctrine do President Obama and his administration have in common with Marxism? 3. What political doctrine do President Obama and his administration have in common with fascist dictatorships? 4. What political doctrine do President Obama and his administration have in common with Adolph Hitler? The answer to all of them is Socialism.

kaprow Says:

Oct 27, 2009 - No, it's not.

JSparkleZ2 Says:

Oct 29, 2009 - Answer these questions. What do all people who call president Obama a socialist/communist have in common? What do all people who call president obama a marxist have in common? What do all people who call president obama a facist have in common? What do all people who call president obama Hitler have in common? The answer to all of them.... The all watch FOX NEWS! Funny how the educated don't share these views...

geofiles Says:

Oct 29, 2009 - The current Democratic Party leadership is tainted by corruption and being taken over by Socialists. These Socialists are clearly a threat to everything we hold sacred in America, and they are gaining evermore control over our Democratic Party, our Nation, and the American people.

TheBestInterest Says:

Oct 29, 2009 - You have got to be kidding me. Your view of the political spectrum has been skewed to the right because you live in America. You think that some how anyone who wants to go further left than America has seen is a Socialist.

defstoner18 Says:

Oct 30, 2009 - You seriously need to... I don't know. You're a lost cause. lol

Chomskyite Says:

Oct 31, 2009 - Geofiles... it's wonderful to have an opinion regarding such matters, however, when your opinion lacks substance it fails to serve anyone, including yourself. Please educate yourself.

KosmicCitizen Says:

Oct 31, 2009 - "Socialists" are no danger to the U.S. The people you're upset with in the Democratic Party are not "socialists." Obama is not a socialist. The entirety of the mainstream political spectrum in the U.S. is a species of liberalism, including the Republicans. Unfortunately, the political discourse is uniquely confusing in the U.S. - terms are used in strange, ahistorical ways.

KosmicCitizen Says:

Oct 31, 2009 - Obama is no socialist, and he's definitely not a "Marxist." He's a puppet to capital, like everyone who plays the game in U.S. politics.

Orgyfan6 Says:

Nov 2, 2009 - you are a fool

AhazAlford Says:

Nov 2, 2009 - You know I think terms like socialist, liberal, conservative, rightwing, and leftwing, are terms invented to avoid thinking. You can just say, Im conservative, and then believe what the conservatives tell you is correct or, I am socialist, and believe what the socialists tell you to think. This way you dont have to consider each issue individually. The Untied States, by the way, has many socialist elements. ABC recently did a documentary about our socialist education system.

geofiles Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - "A liberal is someone who feels a great debt to his fellow man, which debt he proposes to pay off with your money." -- G. Gordon Liddy "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." Norman Thomas, former six-time U.S. Presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America.

geofiles Says:

Nov 3, 2009 - "The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of the blessings. The inherent blessing of socialism is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill "The historical experience of socialist countries has sadly demonstrated that collectivism does not do away with alienation but rather increases it, adding to it a lack of basic necessities and economic inefficiency." - Pope John Paul I. "The function of socialism is to raise suffering to a higher level." - Norman Mailer

joemainstreet Says:

Nov 4, 2009 - one way(the only way)tostop the wars; go to joemainstreet on youtube and learn of this new movement to hurt the banks who payroll the wars and the politicians, and get your bumper sticker.

charlotte240 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - Lincoln did not say these things. They were written in 1916 by Rev. William J. H. Boetcker, a Presbyterian clergyman and pamphlet writer.

charlotte240 Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - In 1942, a group called the Committee for Constitutional Government gave out many leaflets entitled "Lincoln on Limitations" that contained on 1 side a real Lincoln quote and on the other the 10 Boetcker statements. Boetcker was credited with his statements on the leaflet, but their proximity in print to one real quote by Lincoln, plus the title, led people to think Lincoln had said the 10 statements.

goku1986007 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - Hi i'm Mexican from Tijuana. Chomsky is maybe the most important intelectual on history. Unfortunately, for every chomsky in the Usa there are millions of idiots(called themselves patriots) that diss him with no reason. Of course all the information he gives and cites is documented and proved, and it's very difficult to avoid laughing violently when youy see the things that this capitalist pigs say to diss him out. Nothing personal, but what are universities in the US for?

goku1986007 Says:

Nov 14, 2009 - I just hope he comes around Tijuana, and cites more trues about yankee imperialism, and it's retributions for they're rotten political system, and how we the Mexicans and generally third world pay with our suffering they're expansionism, and the shit that they make out of our streets and cities for they're evil legacy, wich of course they ignore most of times. The worst blind ain't the one who can't see, but the one who doesn't want to. Greetings mr. Chomsky, from a mexican admirer!

CapitalExchange Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - Fucking Communist.

tristramshandy3 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - that's a very insightful critique. you should write an op-ed piece for the times. Typical intellectually lazy American

tristramshandy3 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - I have quotations to refute capitalism. For example. Lenin said that corporate capitalism would "perpetually be involved in resource wars abroad". Or Bourne's essay "War is the health of the State". Or the Sinclair Lewis quote: "when Fascism comes to America it will be wearing a flag and carrying a bible". This, of course, represents the dangers of the RIGHT wing threat to our freedom. Have a great day. Life is the best!

tristramshandy3 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - you aren't quoting Homer; you are quoting a translation! You should learn Greek if you REALLY want to read Homer.

aewester Says:

Nov 17, 2009 - not a communist; he's a libertarian socialist

GreatGrumbledook Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - @tristramshandy3: Do not remind me! Learning Greek is horrible and I am sitting on it right now but then again: This translation argument is clearly a case of hair splitting!

boxerboy83 Says:

Nov 22, 2009 - Goku1986007....You hit it right on the mark. Pretty good.
