For example, if you look at a star that is 4 light years away, you are seeing 4 years into the past because it takes the light from the star 4 years to reach earth (to reach your eyes). So if the hubble telescope is seeing these galaxies across the Universe that are billions of light years away, are we not seeing billions of years into the past? Correct me if I am wrong. I would like to hear what you guys think.

There are lots of disaster that will happen sooner or later to the Earth, if it's not on 21 december 2012, it will be later.
