Nov 6, 2009 - I would tend to disagree on at least the musical part of that; Black Flag's work was certainly interesting, but Black Flag seemed to derive a lot of their greatness from ad libbing (particularly on Gin and Dukowski's parts. The Bad Brains were incredibly complex in how each individual part of the music relates to the others. Even a simple work like Pay to Cum leaves you in awe of the fact they can be so precise while playing so fast.

Nov 6, 2009 - Yeah, I was into speed, and alot of effect for a while, but when it's all said and done, you have to look at a bigger picture, and ask yourself if the song feels awesome, and inspires. Kind of like simple cuisine prepared perfectly by an experienced older chef that just destroys a young chef's pretentious attempt at dining. In my opinion, Bad Brains aren't in the same universe as Black Flag, and say...Danzig's Misfits.
