Nov 14, 2009 - You People are all stupid... this isn't the real car the Real Car is made of metal this is just a model of how the bodyworks go. its easyer to design a new model instead of doing the design all over. putting it in into metal then find out it sucks.. and have to make a whole new model again. but this model just takes 2 hours to change the model and the skin is just there to see how everything lines up.

When hitting a smooth metal hood, it is strong enough to prevent you from hitting any non-single-plane metal/hard objects. When hitting a cloth, this effect is completely gone, thus allowing you to hit those objects, wich have a smaller surface, wich penetrate the skin much easier, and can cause internal bleedings a hundred times faster, then when you just hit a metal hood. do you understand it now?

If the material flapped in the wind, they wouldn't be making this car. If you hit the car hard enough to break the material, metal's not going to do you much good when you get smashed against the hood. That, AND the metal hood might prevent you from hitting internal parts,but it won't save you when you bounce off and you splatter on the windshield.
