Nov 1, 2009 - I wish people still made music like this. Modern music is too fake (synthesizers and drum machines).

FaceofMimas Says:

Nov 2, 2009 - Pure magic! When I first heard "Hey Joe", it wasn't Hendrix I heard, it was Mitchell that blew me away. Never to be bettered.

Nov 5, 2009 - Is that Voodoo Child (slight Return) at the end? RIP Mitch, the reason I became a drummer.

dondongo86 Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - You are free too have your own opinion, and you may disagree with me when I say modern music is too fake. I wish, however that you would voice your opinion in a logical way, without trying to demean me. I do not know if you a child or if you are callous to the feelings of others, or even if you just had a bad day, but I really think you should conduct yourself with more integrity, you are setting an examples for others that it is okay to treat others like that. I hope you consider your actions.

biggie12341 Says:

Nov 5, 2009 - yeah well to make a comment like "modern music is too fake" based on the fact there are synths in some music is fairly narrow minded. please feel free to listen to some new good music

dondongo86 Says:

Nov 6, 2009 - Okay, I'll agree with you there, I was being close minded. I was just thinking of groups like Coldplay who based every song on synth work. Most party songs do not have any real sounds except for vocals. Again, I agree I was being close minded. If you don't mind, what is some of your favoright music? I would like to check that out.

biggie12341 Says:

Nov 8, 2009 - i dont agree with coldplay being synth based. and if they were synths are a very dignified instrument. they may be used in an un dignified fashion some times but in bands such as wolf parade, the who, late of the pier, radiohead, blonde redhead, pink floyd, metric, crystal castles, boards of canada, black moth super rainbow, beck, and many others the synth is a sincere instrument.

dondongo86 Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - Thanks, I'll have to check that stuff out. By the way, I didn't mention before but I do actually like Coldplay. I don't even have a problem with the synth sound, at times synth is necessary. I really dislike synth instruments: fake strings, horns, etc. It sounds much better as a true instrument. I remember on VH1 one time, I saw a special on Judas Priest's "Metal Gods". Ever sound in that song was produced "by hand". Thus, being evident of the idea that every sound was real and purposeful.
