Aug 1, 2009 - they are more expensive because they are specialised and in limited production compared to other options. Macbook Air isn't that great. I have one and I don't see whats so good about it. Macbook Pro is awesome. I have one of those and am happy with it.

Aug 29, 2009 - I actually have to say that I don't like the MacBook Air. It's not that it isn't a good product, but just 2 things I don't like: HDD space and processor clock speed. If I were to get a MacBook laptop out of the whole line, I would go with the 15 inch MacBook Pro. But mainly for the screen size, the processor speed, and HDD space.

Oct 12, 2009 - I agree with DeltaPhi79. The MacBook Pro has everything you need on a laptop. If Apple can come up with a ultra thin drive built in the Air, then I would give it a second look. But for now, the MacBook or MacBook Pro is the way to go if you are looking for a laptop. Small is good but if you have to buy additional items to complete the main one, then its seems like to much of a hassle. Why not get the All-in-1 product.
