Nov 19, 2009 - If your native language is English, you will finally find Chinese is easier to learn than Japanese since it has a simple grammar, which is similar to English.

vikingmerijn Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - That is not completely true! Japanese is indeed more difficult with grammar then Mandarin. BUT in practice it turns out that many European people have less difficulty with grammar of Japanese then the hard pronounciation of Mandarin (or any Chinese language...) The phonology of Chinese is just way more distant of the European phonologies then Japanese. I think if it would be possible to count the westerners that have learnt Chinese or Japanese, the latter will be the majority.

Crapidiot Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - depends on ur language ability. pronounciation is easy. then again im chinese
