Nov 9, 2009 - The show's director was motioning for Jimi to wrap it up as he was going overtime and the show was live,(notice Jimi looking of camera) hence Jimi saying "we"re being put off the air." Notice as he does the whammy bar ending of Voodoo Child Jimi looks at the director off camera and mouths "Motherfucker." (not too clear in this video) but take it from me (I have a good copy of this) he does.

Jimi was bummed that Cream had just broken up a few days before, and decided to play his favorite Cream song. Jimi was also sick of playing the same songs the same way, he was into playing what he felt, not what people demanded from him. Too bad NOBODY has the balls to do this on tv nowadays! Of course, if Jimi did this today, he would probably get sued.
