Sep 15, 2009 - sonicwheelsrecords...isn't paul shaffer still with the Late Night Show??? Also, I have to say the group from Chicago, the New Colony Six were just as great as the Raiders were in it's hay day. The Raiders got more show time being more the CA. style band @ the New Colony Six were 2nd nature to many. But I would have to say the NCS were just as good as the Raiders, especially their voices were superior over Mark Lindsey. Now, I know many will disagree with me but that is how I see it partner...

Sep 16, 2009 - It might have been the 'innocent" 6T's, that doesn't mean everything is allowed. Hippety hoppety hop this "performance"goes to the 2nd hand shop. Original LP mix from this track is f•cking amazing though.

Sep 21, 2009 - Dear jazzbro, We've talked to the Carson Archive people and they're unable to find the clip of the Raiders. Many of the mid-60's shows have been lost, but they're checking with their affiliates. We'll keep you posted. If anyone out there has this clip, please contact us. Thanks. - Sonic Wheel Records

Sep 26, 2009 - Sorry if I missed it, but does anyone know why Paul and Mark spilt up? Would love to see them together in Branston. Just curious.

Sep 29, 2009 - Mark and Paul havent spoken since late 70s. There was a lot of fighting about royalties (of course, its always about money.) Paul ALWAYS talks about money, even on old youtube clips, and must have $50 million after all these years. Mark tried to sue Paul a few years ago and that really sealed their fate forever. Too bad - they created a lot of good memories for a lot of people.

Sep 29, 2009 - Franklinrocks, Thanks for the information. My husband and I can't get enough of this and other PPR vidoes. In fact we are looking to go to Branston,MO to see Paul in person. Have you gone?

Oct 11, 2009 - God, pop music has always been fagotry. I thought the two guitar players where going to fuck each other. nasty souless music.

Oct 11, 2009 - hey, accessmodule, why don't you go somewhere else? Failing that, go fuck yourself.
Swampgirly Says:
Oct 21, 2009 - That is so sad. I think that there should be some laws passed concerning all these copyrighted things that keeps the band members from getting shut out by one or more of the others. If they were on the recording, they should have some rights, because its still their performance. As for the Raiders, Mark wrote almost all of the songs from at least 1967 to 1970 or 71, so surely he retains rights to those.
rbtomsic49 Says:
Oct 23, 2009 - You know how you re-discover a band. Well that what's PP R is to me.I can't get enough of this video. I got the Just Like Me album back in the day. Plan to catch up on all the other albums now on CD. The dance steps are so much fun to watch. What a group they were! Just discovered 'Tighter' from the Revolution album. Love the song! Rock on for all the 60s and PP R for sure!

Knugabug Says:
Oct 30, 2009 - Revere is and was all about the money. At his age playing Branson literally 25 days a month spells: he needs it. Raider money went to Idaho real estate in '72 which was a failure. Lindsay should be in a gigantic mansion in Beverly Hills, he isn't. I'm sure he sold his publishing to Columbia decades ago.
wardka Says:
Nov 2, 2009 - I'm just wondering if they had to have their pants surgically removed. And here I thought ultra-tight pants came along in the 70's. Who knew? Well I was around back then, but was probably too young to notice things like that.. You have to respect this band for helping to pioneer the harder edged sounds and transforming rock roll into rock.
deanrox Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - The problem that young musicians have is when they are suddenly in "music business", they know a lot about "music" and nothing about "business." Nobody could have gotten screwed-over worse than John Fogerty, Badfinger, or the Turtles.
Pumper4 Says:
Nov 7, 2009 - Switch Drake in for Harpo and I'd agree! The Raiders made money but they were definitely in it for the fun. Look at their faces in any of these videos... smiling and happy. Their early stage act featured busting up old pianos, predating The Who and Hendrix, Wake up, Cleveland!

Nov 14, 2009 - Paul Revere and The Raiders do an annual oldies cruise in the Carribean, along wih other artists and special events. The next one is January 20th or so, 2010

Nov 15, 2009 - I can't believe that they are not in the RR HoF! I remember watching this show, I was a huge fan of the band and loved the Smother's Brothers too. It is great to be able to see this again, brings me big smiles. Sad that Drake and Smitty are gone, both were so young.

Sep 15, 2009 - Those white tights in color would be horrible looking (and a tad bit embarrassing) if the any or all of the members of the group might have an accident. LOL!
