Sep 21, 2009 - Excellent bass playing, Jeff! Seems like you can play any notes you want - even without Melodyne. ;)

Sep 24, 2009 - The stuff of science fiction! Musicians still couldn't use it to fake playing all the right notes in a live unplugged gig though.

Sep 25, 2009 - Holy shit. This puts Cakewalk to shame, and I haven't even had a chance to test Ableton yet.. I am sold. Gonna get me Mac pronto.

Sep 25, 2009 - Very good news for me. So technically the imput doesn't matter, right? Do you think it could handle a violin or some brass?
thatdearguy Says:
Sep 25, 2009 - A matter of time. It already detects the right key an can process the music faster than Jeff can play it. It's just a matter of time before they write logarithms that can detect / correct certain styles of play on the fly.

Sep 27, 2009 - When the hell is this thing out?
KDMAnderson Says:
Sep 27, 2009 - I think this is pretty scary, however I see HUGE potential for this program's use in transcription. Don't know exactly what your favourite artist is playing but want to double-check something? Plug the tune into this thing and take a look at the piano roll to double check the notes.

Oct 4, 2009 - did u try to use it in drum tracks? is this DNA can seperate the hits like cymbals out of kick and snare while they are being hit at the same time?
steevmoor Says:
Oct 11, 2009 - It's a plug-in. It works within both mac and pc and works within cakewalk, pro tools, cubase, etc.
redrummyuk Says:
Oct 14, 2009 - picking individual notes from a performance of a single instrument is one thing.... picking out the guitar part from an ensemble of many instruments is something else... still amazing though.

Oct 15, 2009 - This is unbelievable!
skrollan Says:
Oct 16, 2009 - this would be a revolution!
SamCoreJ Says:
Oct 16, 2009 - Its a different kind of program to Cakewalk, not in the same category.
SamCoreJ Says:
Oct 16, 2009 - They are saying it will be released in November.
SamCoreJ Says:
Oct 16, 2009 - Im pissing my pants in anticipation of this program. Unbelievable.
thatdearguy Says:
Oct 17, 2009 - Of course its different, it's new. Finally I won't have to bother with short samples or midi recordings.
thatdearguy Says:
Oct 17, 2009 - That's great news. I'll be getting that in not too long.
SamCoreJ Says:
Oct 17, 2009 - No, its different because its a different kind of software. Melodyne has been around for years and never been in competition with cakewalk.
googleboughtmee Says:
Oct 19, 2009 - they said that last november too
SamCoreJ Says:
Oct 19, 2009 - But they have the beta out now so fingers crossed!
jayrah03 Says:

Sep 21, 2009 - kohada64: I have tried it on some of my less busy fretless pieces and it works really well. The less complex the material - the easier it is to change and have it sound good. gre107: the upgrade is less than $300 for the full version I think.
