Nov 19, 2007 - Xcalic, a pc version has not been forthcoming as bioware takes alot of pride into the titles they send out. Mass Effect has an extremely demanding engine that most pc's don't even come close. That would mean that engine buffers would have to be put into place which reduce the demands but also kill alot of the gameplay. Plus the sheer size would overwhelm most hardrives. Hopefully that helps explain that to you.

Matdude3 Says:

Nov 19, 2007 - They've set the release date for november 21'st 2007.

xcalic01 Says:

Nov 20, 2007 - It did help. However, the game Crysis and Far Cry 2 possess an even more impressive engine. Both games are not comin' to consoles due to technical issues. They said the same thing about Gears of war. Now look, a PC version is out running with the improved Uengine and more FPS than the X360 version. I believe Bioware specially made this engine for consoles, rendering any PC port futile, like the poorly done port, Lost Planet.

Nov 24, 2007 - this game is awsome

Shoqkwave Says:

Nov 25, 2007 - It'll probably be ported to PC just like KOTOR and KOTOR 2 were (exclusives to xbox at first and pc got them after)

Shoqkwave Says:

Nov 25, 2007 - Mass Effect uses the Unreal 3 engine, alot of pc games use it or will be using it (unreal tournament, gears of war, just to name afew), infact, i'm sure Unreal 3 runs better on a PC, hopefully it won't have the texture popping issues that the 360 unreal 3 engine games have.

xcalic01 Says:

Nov 25, 2007 - Yeah, I thought it was I alone who noticed the poppin', especially in Gears of war X360. Yeah, I know. This unreal engine 3.0 is getting very, I mean, VERY popular in the gaming industry for some reason. Probably cheap and versatile. The commercial for Mass Effect looks sweet on G4TV. Think it would ever come to PC, even awhile from now (2K9 perhaps)?

Jul 5, 2008 - this game was cool but i hated the parts with the Mako rover

admrilpopandfresh Says:

Jul 23, 2008 - WOW, really i dont no what to say? Mass Effect was givin the hounor of best ending by the X-box magazine so a 6/10 on the story idont think so. and the fighting was like any other third person shooter but it just added a little bit of an RPG element , so what i want you to do i to go and play you ff10 and ffwhatever and please never play a mass effect game ever, and i mean ever agian . (asshole)

juggalo78910 Says:

Aug 15, 2008 - andrew genovese go eat poor boys dick

Burnsyde Says:

Oct 17, 2008 - You're pretty dumb, I have no idea why you would buy a bioware game then basically call the game boring if you had no idea that bioware games are essentially interactive stories. Good god you're a gigantic idiot.

icedragonzero Says:

Dec 19, 2008 - uh FF10 had some of the best graphics on the PS2 and a pretty annoying battle system

tinotrivino Says:

Feb 1, 2009 - this is the xbox version isnt it? cause the graphics arent so good, inthe pc version also the layout are muchmore better

arhanghel21l Says:

Feb 9, 2009 - when has a pc game beaten a 360 version? sry dude but the 360 is way better and the feeling you get with a console is much more intense than a mouse and buttons. either way it is a great game and i really enjoyed it

tinotrivino Says:

Feb 10, 2009 - the 360 is better thanthe pc?????????????? NO WAY.. well you meant the dynamic perhaps but what kind of pc you usually use? no man my pc (12 Gb ram) 2x512 MB grpahics" Dualcore 2.04 ghz, no waaaaay :)

Joyriser Says:

Feb 15, 2009 - right yeah lets see what was good...the voice acting, character design, the story depth. This was balanced with the worst stuttering frame rate Ive seen in ages. Little satisfaction to the active gameplay, shooting red triangles with crap weapons,a destructive menu system which holds up gameplay. I dont want to pause screen select and continue. I understand its like playing a book but I would rather pick up a book than trawl through this tedium.

JadedTrojan Says:

Mar 25, 2009 - If I could find a good mouse with rumble, then I'd disagree.

JadedTrojan Says:

Mar 25, 2009 - Y'know what was REALLY tedious? Bioshock. Owned it, loved it, then realized how shit the game was (other than the concept and the story). The repetition in Bioshock outflanks the tedium in Mass Effect in almost every way.

Joyriser Says:

Mar 25, 2009 - Well I was a little hasty in criticising Mass effect. I played it again and overall it was good. I sense a dig here because I do like Bioshock. Its not perfect but I wouldnt call it bad.
