Feb 28, 2009 - This music is probably the fruit of your people, just a few generations later and in a different environment! I have a whole lot of Irish blood in me, along with English, and after WWII, Belgian blood! I respect my lineage (I think I spelled that right!).

ElComadreja777 Says:

Mar 4, 2009 - All American music comes from Scots-Irish and English music. Any black music created in America depended on it. It was only the slave's versions of massa's music.

Jun 13, 2009 - My grand daddy could probably sing every word of this song. He used to ride his horse to Summersville on Saturday bearing two five gallon zinc buckets of cream and a couple of dozen of eggs. The locals always were amused at how he got his essentials and came back home with money.

dreiband Says:

Jul 5, 2009 - The 1920s saw the Paving of America: lots of road crews out grading and paving the dirt roads. A lot of the work was done by mules, and a man who could drive a team of mules could always find work. This song represents a man looking for a job as a mule skinner, on one of those long-ago "mud lines".

Snowdjinn Says:

Jul 12, 2009 - a classic.
