Nov 8, 2009 - This isn't always true. Some states have a "Stop and ID" statute. Nevada is one. What you say is true for, e.g. California, but not Nevada.

Skeptic121 Says:

Nov 8, 2009 - So refuse to talk to the cops and make them bring you before the grand jury! In the meantime you can talk to a lawyer. Why is this a good idea? Because everything said in front of the grand jury is on the record, taken down by real court reporters, not by the cops.

QuarkToo Says:

Nov 8, 2009 - the cops have become tools for the state controlled by the Zionists. Criminalization of the population is how you get the good people to beg for a police state and the victims to rebel against the little tools but rarely against the source.

Kerrville911Truth Says:

Nov 8, 2009 - The cops aren't controlled by Zionists, they are controlled by the New World Order. State your first and last name, then shut up. Don't talk at all. The cops are effectively the enemy now, and will do anything to exert their power over you.

iggy6 Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - He does have a point though. The ADL have infiltrated most police stations of federal police. Also many whole city police officials have had junkets to Israel with all expenses paid. In return many private Israeli companies, including the Israeli private security companies that have been caught wiretapping and providing security at all the 9-11 airports used as well as the security cameras for the London Tube bombings. This is suppressed in the media so that always raises my suspicion.

dcdave2u Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - A quickly recanted confession describing a highly implausible murder scenario combined with not one iota of physical evidence would seem to be a very weak basis for carrying forward a first-degree murder prosecution. It got petty criminal Carl Derek Cooper a life sentence, though. Google "Starbucks Suspect Recanted before Confession Announced" for all the disgusting details. James Duane rocks. I don't care if he teaches at Pat Robertson's law school.

Nov 9, 2009 - O k its official ,to me anyway. You can be arrested for anything at anytime for any reason. We have LAWED ourselves out of freedom.

Nov 11, 2009 - woah woah...slow down buddy!!!! LOL

1dusm Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - Skeptic, good idea. ALWAYS get an attorney. But, don't forget this: IF the police are talking to you, they don't have what they need. If they did, they wouldn't need to talk to you.....so, DON'T give them what they need to prosecute you. And, you still have the 5th Amendment during a Grand Jury proceeding, if the questioning pertains to your self incrimination. AND, you can consult your attorney in the hallway after EVERY question the grand jury asks you.

1dusm Says:

Nov 12, 2009 - Why "this---is WRONG"? There is nothing "wrong" about it. "THIS" is your "Constitutional Right" afforded to you by our "Forefathers". There is nothing "wrong" about it. "This" is flat using your head.

Nov 14, 2009 - He did a line of good Peruvian cocaine before the lecture...

Nov 14, 2009 - AWESOME video. Thanks.

BEERandWEED Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - That`s a traffic tticket. They know and YOU know you are over the limit. You`re not going to be put to death, your not going to jail, If you are getting a speeding ticket, you are most likely speeding. In this case, if you talk to a cop it MIGHT work (if you`re hot enough :) ) If noy, PAY. Wtf are you gonna say, ``no, fifth amendant man, I`m not gonna discuss the speed of which I drove, which you probably recorded on your thinga-ma-bober`` Pay for your fuckups, deny when you can.

hkongfan Says:

Nov 15, 2009 - Totally enlightened by this lecture. I am a layman in terms of the study of law, and I know Regent U is founded by Pat Robertson... but if its law school can recruit someone like James Duane, maybe it is not as bad as people think?

harshlight7 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - This is hilarious. Regent U. was founded by and trains footsoldiers for the Religious Right, and the "former student" he is referring to at the start is probably Monica Goodling, a central figure in the US Attorney firings scandal at the end of the last Bush term. "Don't talk to cops" is now the mantra of the Religious Right, according to their official university? After all, they only fear God's law, not Man's

Nov 18, 2009 - Great video!

SSJIndy Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - I used to enjoy watching his Federal Express commercials back i nthe 80's. Never knew anyone could talk that fast before seeing them. Glad to see he's back and faster than ever.

mahajohn Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - I think the premise of virtually every single episode of "Law Order" hinges upon folks who are ignorant of this lawyer's advice!

NorcrossMedia Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - lol... good guy. He knows his stuff and he talks so much like a criminal attorney... central casting folks... central casting.

yoyo762 Says:

Nov 21, 2009 - So right about law order. The favorite phrase used has to be " lawyered up " said in a accusatory fashion. They love to imply that only the guilty need lawyers. Very dangerous to get your legal advice from a tv show .

Bbdrew Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - Unless you get pulled over doing 150 in a 65 - which is a felony. My buddy had this happen.. Normally he would of ran but we were on an interstate with no exit for another 20 miles - and you simply don't run on the highway - thats how you get caught. He got pulled over and he remained silent to the cop's questions because the cop asked hi speed and said knock 1 mph off and hwas going to jail. This already meant the cop didnt clock him above 90mph. Turned out he didnt clock him at all.

Bbdrew Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - He just knew he was going extremely fast and was trying to get him to confess to a speed that'd let him take him in. However as the camera obviously proved from what footage it had that he was going fast as hell - he got a reckless driving ticket... Which got dropped when he agreed to take a driving school class for 1 day. gotta love the fifth :)

MarsCaulton Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - @Pafoofnik1 While I appreciate your grasp of the law as on paper, it means zero to people of color, to poor whites, and to anyone who crosses the path of an officer with a chip on his shoulder and a tasar. Tasars are the new billyclub -- except that they are used far more often and can easily kill you.

MarsCaulton Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - This all assumes you are not a Black male, among other things. Oscar Grant was handcuffed, on the ground, on his stomach, not resisting arrest and not under charged with any crime when a cop on the BART station reached back, pulled out his firearm, and shot Oscar in cold blood. Sean Bell was murdered in his van after the NYC police investigated a minor traffic accident -- after they'd been given a quota of tickets and arrests to make in that neighborhood. There are 100's of more stories.
