In 1975, when Ruffian died (she was a great racehorse), someone in my city wrote a letter to the newspaper saying Ruffian would be running again in heaven, a priest wrote back that animals don't go to heaven. Personally, I think Ruffian's there but the priest isn't. Maybe she's playing chase with Christian.

The bible never said that animals didn't go to heaven. in fact, i remember reading that when Jesus returned, he would be on a white horse. so animals don't have souls, and yet he's going to be on a horse. that's just an assumption they came up with. they probably want to believe that just so they won't feel bad if they hurt animals. i mean seriously, animals love their kids and take care of them. i don't get how they think God would trash them.
