Compare now to 1989, not really all that different when it comes to the things you've mentioned. It seems to me hollywood was trying to RESPECT your intelligence here, yet you go about slapping them in the face because theres no flying cars, or stupid haircuts and what not. this movie looks intelligently made, and you come across as an idiot. The laziness isnt from the movie.

Nov 25, 2009 - It will be hard for most to understand the subtleties of this story without reading the book. I think Hillcoat did a phenomenal job adapting such a great book without giving into flying cars and zombies needed for the post-apocalyptic.

Every thing made since then has just been remakes of things we've alredy had. So why would it be much different 20 years in the future?
