Jul 31, 2008 - i would enjoy the movie if the dialoge sounded more realistic. every line was sarcastic and it sounded like some mom trying 2 sound cool but fails. i couldnt stand it. But i was expecting a bad movie before i went in so tht might be one reason i hated it so much. also everyone loves the soundtrack i only remember tht first song during the opening credits and i thought tht was bad.

Oct 7, 2008 - Movie was definitely stylized - a stylized look and the quips. But the acting was heartfelt, and the characters themselves felt real. If you didn't feel any emotion in a few of the scenes, it wasn't the movie, it was you.

Jan 9, 2009 - This movie was about as derivative and lame as any other hipster movie that tried to loop in mindless young morons who can't think for them selves. The plot was hideous, the performance with these actors for the most part was dreadful, and the dialogue was about as pointless as an episode of Sex And The City. The fact that this movie was NOMINATED for an Oscar, proves to me how fargone Hollywood has gotten with their hideous movies. Diablo Cody should be shot for giving such a bland script.
