Nov 22, 2009 - What's missing for me is an emotional connection. Yundi Li's strength is usually just this - an emotional connection, like it's it's the main strength of Mitsuko Uchida and very definitely missing for me from all of Lang Lang's work. It's what makes music music for me. Guess this piece might just have been a showpiece for Liszt's brilliance.

RedhairedSpirit Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - Well, it is one of the most technically-demanding piano pieces ever written so I think it would be hard for anyone to have all the technical parts handled as perfectly as Yundi Li and yet still make that emotional connection.

Nov 23, 2009 - hello! near the end around 4:15 were those high notes mistakes? i dun know...someone said earlier (i forgot who :D) that this was the messiest they'd every heard or something...of course, i still LUUUVV this + yundi li, just wondering if those were mistakes :D

Nov 23, 2009 - Yundi Li is an exellent interpreter, but I don't like her performances at least.I'm just in love with Rafal Blechacz,he really shocked me still during the 2005 Chopin's piano Competition, much, much more than Li.

Nov 24, 2009 - What's with pianists and wearing white suits when they perform? Is it to contrast with the black pianos? In my next performance I want to buy a neon-pink suit. That would look so much better, no?

BountyHunterRedRag Says:

Nov 25, 2009 - go on stage like maskim and wear a wife tank top and a leather vest and leather pants, then you'll make a statement lol
