Nov 7, 2009 - Yeah i build my own pc's but im a AMD man and runing liquid cooled system right now.But i cant build my own ps3 and i think it sucks the amount of heat them things make.Almost like a blow heater

Nov 8, 2009 - dont worry about the playstations........they are designed to heat up,i am an AMD man my self, the only thing i have against AMD and Pentium,is that the clock cycles are very different, pentium users talk about GHZ,while AMD people talk about over clocking per second or cycles per second......,this could pose a threat and confusion in years to come....as the speeds become faster, luckily the operating systems communicate speed in hertz.....,at least its grounded by the operating systems

Nov 13, 2009 - First of all, it's a new SCPH -9000x, it's not correct to call it Japanese or American, Sony currently only produces these models. Secondly, it's only slightly warm after 6 hours of playing.

Nov 15, 2009 - Region encoding is the digital equivalent of horse sh*t, along with PAL/NTSC and imperial/metric units of measure. We're all pretty much global now, so why aren't we all on the same page already? Thank Buddah for Swap Magic. It's a cheap way to happily play imported PS2 games on your slim PS2: )

Nov 20, 2009 - Price descrimination;if all games worked everywhere, they couldn't charge different regions different prices. e.g. in real terms, games cost almost twice as much in Europe than in North America or Japan. There are price differences between US and Japan, too. Descrimination not only allows for companies to extract greater profit but also allows them to deal with fluctuations in exchange rates better if they can dictate what prices are in different markets rather than having one set, real price.
