Nov 8, 2009 - That's a great question! More passion for beer perhaps? That's my guess, but watching this clip has shown me that many people have a passion for soda. I never knew that!

Nov 8, 2009 - When he's complaining about why Pepsi and Coke (and some other American pops) using Corn Syrup instead of Sugar. Maybe he doesn't know this, but the reason is the Sugar lobby. Since the lat 1800s this country has had protectionist tariffs and subsidies on sugar to the point that sugar is 4 TIMES as expensive in the US as anywhere else in the world. Fact is. ALL these gourmet soda's would probably be as cheap as Coke and Pepsi if it weren't for government. randforsenate (dot) blogspot (dot) com

Nov 9, 2009 - @damasta67420 maybe there is enough demand to open up a store in your area. the more stores means economies of scale. :)

unequalextraction Says:
Nov 11, 2009 - @tracysaboe : The corn syrup prices paid by large firms are lower than what it costs to produce; US taxpayers foot the bill through farm subsidies for corn production, which is then recouped by huge companies who do not need US taxpayer support. Yes it is the government, but the question remains: which candidates/policy makers are put in power, how did they get there, and who benefits from their decisions?
