And as for The Byrds you are way off track. I heard this music when it was first released,and trust me..no one sounded like Tom Petty. He truly was a fresh sound.

Nov 18, 2009 - lol watching this brought back 2 old memories: 1 . my neighbor telling us that she bought her son an outdoor fire pit and he sold it for tom petty concert tickets 2. one social studies class where a vocabulary word was "refugee" and the teacher and the teacher's aid burst out singing this song. of course the rest of the class and people passing in the halls thought it was a little awkward, but the teachers had fun =]
