Nov 11, 2009 - We all have to adjust to change. Can they? There is timeless moral in the story of Adam and Eve.

dardonZ Says:

Nov 11, 2009 - oh wait.. Are you saying that because you think there ideals are primitive?

lustcorp Says:

Nov 13, 2009 - Daniel Everett has found his enchantment. Religion is the bread of the feeble, the merchandise of multi-level marketing. Daniel Everett, through the aborigines, found his way and achieved enchantment.

Nov 16, 2009 - Hey if millitary action can do good, then do it, but if you don't lknow what your doing, or donig the opposite, what type of legacy are you going to leave behide, since money is pointless in death, and theres nothing to go to when you die? and for the religeous poeple, that disagree with me, all things that have a begginning have a end.

Orwellslovechild Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - Rather than going after Christians, what people should focus on attacking is the idea that every person in the world has to believe in the Christian belief system. In my view, it portrays a certain insecurity to demand that every single individual in the world must conform to what you believe, to the point of sending missionaries to make contact with tribes. If you're content with your beliefs, you don't need every soul on Earth to share them in order to validate them.

Orwellslovechild Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - At the same time, I ceased to call myself a Liberal because people on the left take it far beyond that point. Instead of attacking the Church tactics, they attack the individual Christian. They say being a Christian itself is stupid, and all Christian people are retards. In essence, in their efforts to preach against a militant belief system they become become what they proclaim to be against.

9377932 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - lol wow and I bet you think it took Moses 40 years to walk to Isreal.

decamp59 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - Nope. It took 40 years of wandering lost in the desert to remove that slave mentality from the Jews as new generations grew. They had low self-esteems and god didn't want that for them. So He made them wander lost in the desert to build it up and remove that slave mentality they had from being slaves in Egypt for so long.

decamp59 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - The Holy Spirit doesn't reside in the sinner therfore will not tell you when you are doing wrong. You were never a true Christian if you don't believe now, since Jesus lives in the hearts of the believer and makes His presence known and felt there. I was a Christian, but I went back into sin. But I know He exists from that experience. You were a Christian in name only, not according to God's word. So you lack the authority to discern between true and real Christianity.

9377932 Says:

Nov 16, 2009 - you know that sounds like complete nonsense. if they were lost in the desert for that long they would have died. People get lost in the USA for 6 days and end up dead

mrpayne123 Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - That was a a very interesting view, thanks.

mrpayne123 Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - You sound really smug. You are saying that every single person in the world who is not a "true" christian is morally inferior in some way. So all the people that Jesus' words never got to are horrible people who can't tell right from wrong bc hey don't have the holy spirit. I guess you assume Everett was doing some horrible sinning and that is why he deconverted. But your worldview says that people who don't accept Christ deserve to burn and so this is the only way you can justify that.

AllyceHudson Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - You cannot conpare Christianity with Islam. They are two totally different religions. I also agree with savbey.

senorchipotle Says:

Nov 18, 2009 - of course i can ''conpare'' christianity with islam. they share the old testament for christ's sakes. that's like saying judaism cannot be compared with christianity, it's the foundation of the religion. they share the same prophets, save mohammed. their both based in mythology, and are the musings of delusional desert dwellers. savbey cannot even properly formulate an argument, what's to agree with? he didn't even validate a point, and neither have you.

AllyceHudson Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - Yes, the Old Testiment is the Torah. Yes the Qu'ran mentions Jesus. This just proves that there is some historic connections with these "mythologies" as you call it. But that doesn't change the fact that they have different belief systems. I agreed with savbey because it is ignorant to not believe that their is something that is more powerful than me and you. I don't care about proving a point i made a statement, I'm not trying to convience you to do anything.

senorchipotle Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - " I agreed with savbey because it is ignorant to not believe that their is something that is more powerful than me and you." how is it ignorant not to believe in something for which no evidence exists? why don't you believe in zeus, there are books written about him? anubis? there is no evidence that any gods exist, so i have no reason to believe in any. the bible is a completely flawed document, for which there is no proof that the stories within actually happened. why should i believe?

AllyceHudson Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - He also said depending on which angle u view. From my angle I just dont understand why u dont believe and vice versa. For me its hard not to believe.

senorchipotle Says:

Nov 19, 2009 - @painter... umm, yes it does. he clearly said they do not believe in that which they cannot see, pretty much the definition of believing in a higher power.

Nov 22, 2009 - religion is something that trying to fill in the blank question we have yet to answer. they thought they know the standing of eath in the universe, the shape of the earth and the age of the earth. everything they 'thought' they can bluff people into believing have been debunk and i can't believe there's still so many people into this kind of false hope and answer. i personally want to know the real 'truth' and answer. i want to know how big and how old the universe is. i want to know what's in i
