Aug 31, 2009 - it is narrated from the Ibn Umar that the prophet (pbuh)said be different from the mushrikeen, trim the moutache and let the beard grow, and in surah nisaa it says who ever obeys the prophet(pbuh) has certainly obeyed Allah, the beard is obligatory and shaving it is a sin, and an open sinner should not be leading the salah if there is someone better than him available
05M4N Says:
Aug 31, 2009 - How would you know if that someone is "better" lol just because he has a beard?? let me tell you something, nowadays alot of people who HAVE beards are straight open HYPOCRITES. So don't judge an imam by his beard, please...it's an embarrassment to our ummah, non-muslims look at this and think "wow these guys argue about beards, what a bunch of idiots" so yeah, this is stupid, concentrate on more important issues in the world, salam bro.
DefenderOfSunnah Says:
Sep 2, 2009 - its not the scholars but the prophet sallallahu alayhi wassallam command us (GUYS) to GROW BEARD, TRIM the MUSTACHE and EXTINGUISHED ourselves from the KUFFAAR.. those who dont have BEARD, MUST NOT lead the prayers coz those who shave their beards, are SINNING OPENLY.. if a person unable to do such a small thing, then he wont be able to do big thing.. one more thing, it is the sign of immitating the kuffaar.. i reply u this becoz this is the matter of establishing truth
modestnisa Says:
Sep 2, 2009 - assalamu alaikum, that is true brother. but we should not be so quick to judge. what if he can't grow a beard? so your saying that a women who has a son who has no beard cannot lead his mom in salat.? masha-allah we should be more tolerant of one another and use common sense. . for a person how is a defender of the sunnah, you should also know that most of the authentic hadiths are just plain common sense. this is one reason this ummah is messed up.
SalafeeSpot Says:
Sep 3, 2009 - If you watch the others videos with him in it you can see has a small amount of sideburns and chin hair so allahu alim on the status of the brothers beard. InshaAllah he keeps it and it looks as if he does if u look at the other vids
05M4N Says:
Sep 4, 2009 - lol imitating the kuffar?? JEWS have massive beards!! so if a muslim brother is keeping a beard thats huge, more than one fist like a jew, do u consider him as imitating a yahoudi?? even some christians keep long beards, as a matter of fact alot of homeless people have beards but ur not "immitating" them are u??
05M4N Says:
Sep 4, 2009 - So please, stop judging the brother, he is growing a small beard from what i've seen in other videos (the rate of a persons rate of hair growth does exist u know) and chill out, calm down, we know ur the "defender of the sunnah" etc mashallah that's good, salam.
DefenderOfSunnah Says:
Sep 4, 2009 - alhamdulillah.. if a person shaves off then he is imitating kuffaar but if thats how his body immune system works, then there is no sin upon him but he should knew that the Imam should be with beard.. if a kid lead us in prayer, that is something different coz he has not come to the diving line.. i speak in general, not judging him but just clarifying coz now days, many modern day ppl takes the easy path, by the way, i'm always chill out akhi, have a wonderful Ramadhan + Taraweeh :-)
DefenderOfSunnah Says:
Sep 4, 2009 - waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.. alhamdulillah.. again, its not quickly judge anyone but if he knew the full Qur'aan, then he should know the rulings in the deen.. behind him alot of man with beard, surely can lead the salah n they must knew Qur'aan well.. beard is obligatory and let me ask u, can a women without wearing hijab lead other women in prayer? the ummah is messed up becoz those individuals are not practising the deen in daily life but rather trying to modernising Islam :-)
MuhammadCall Says:
Sep 5, 2009 - Masha Allah this brother reads the Quran beautifully. Many youth waste their time in shaitanic acts but he is reading Quran. Allah bless him.
ever1ast Says:
Sep 5, 2009 - The Prophet (peace be upon him) defined the criteria for choosing the person to lead a congregational prayer, whether it is obligatory like Isha and Fajr, or recommended like Taraweeh. The determining factor is that the Imam should be the one who can read the Quran best among the congregation. When we have two of equal ability, then we choose the one who has better knowledge of Islam. Only when we have two people of equal standing on both counts we choose the elder of the two.
ever1ast Says:
Sep 5, 2009 - You see that the criteria for preference make no mention of the beard or its length. To suggest that it has any effect betrays lack of knowledge of Islamic principles and values. Islam cares little for appearances while it stresses genuine areas of excellence. Reading the Quran is an important part of prayer. Hence, excellent reading is the most important factor in choosing the Imam. Wearing a beard is, at best, a Sunnah. Hence, it has no value in such choice.
DefenderOfSunnah Says:
Sep 5, 2009 - alhamdulillah.. if the muslims understood that growing a beard is OBLIGATORY, then most of other issues are solved.. he is not a small kid for not having beard coz now days, it is a trend not to have beard but those who understood the message of Qur'aan, they understand the whole situation.. as Umar Al Khattab radhiAllahu anhum said, "do not look at those who recite Qur'aan well but look at those who implement it and practice it".. also, take a look at Malik, Book 9, Hadeeth no 9.24.91.. :-)
JU1q Says:
Sep 11, 2009 - from my limited knowledge, the word beard in Arabic has the root word to which means something that appears, so if you have anything that appears ten u have a beard
DefenderOfSunnah Says:
Sep 11, 2009 - alhamdulillah.. all i can say is, obey Allah Messenger in every single act n circumstation.. the way of sahabah radhiAllahu anhum, tabien n so on, all of them with beard coz they imitate prophet sallallahu alayhi wassallam in each n every single aspect.. thats why, they are strong that time but now days, we are totally far away from the real Islam.. what we can do is that, we try our best to trace back the path of the Salaf. will be full of struggle n challenge but just be patient all the time
moroccangirls Says:
Sep 21, 2009 - brother! what if a man can not grow a beard for a medical condition.. Itaqi Allah
DefenderOfSunnah Says:
Sep 22, 2009 - alhamdulillah.. perhaps if u read my other comments, u will knew what i meant.. this is the issue of fiqh, so peace be upon those who seek guidance..
donmarar Says:
Sep 25, 2009 - brother there are people who can't grew up a beard. I know my friend who is mashallah strong conservative but it is in his gene to have a hairless body.
DefenderOfSunnah Says:
Sep 25, 2009 - alhamdulillah.. dont get me wrong brother.. for those who cant grow beard it is something different coz that is their bodies hormon but i speak in general, coz many youth n elders, they dont want to keep beard, they shave it.. many think it is only tradition but dont realise it is wajib.. he has a beautiful voice but he should let others lead the prayer.. who knows in future he did that, then its good.. anyway, Eid Mubarak and enjoy ur eid, still have time lol :-)
whac Says:
Sep 26, 2009 - Good job of getting your point across. But we don't know their situation; who knows maybe he just can't grow one. But doubting a Muslim is haram so talking about this any further seems like it could lead to somewhere where it shouldn't. Just keep that in mind. ..
DefenderOfSunnah Says:
Sep 26, 2009 - alhamdulillah.. its not doubting but he should already knew it.. otherwise, it will be going on for many years and ppl just keep quiet.. verily reminder benefits the believer..
cyberspiral Says:
Sep 30, 2009 - it us not us to judge him but it is allah who will judge him
adamaouhoub Says:
Oct 1, 2009 - thats because he cant grow a beard cause i cant grow one and i dnt shave every person is the different visically brother
tajk786110 Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - Prophet (s.a.w) - you should give someone 72 excuses before you decide to condemn them

05M4N Says:
Aug 30, 2009 - I think some scholars nowadays take the beard rulings too far, after all it's what's on the inside that counts; ur deeds, spirituality, knowlegde, taqwa and faith...not some hair lol
