May 31, 2009 - For $10, it's extremely innovative. They took a classic game, kept the basic gameplay but made it look beautiful with today's graphics. And this is also BC "Rearmed" that came out a little while ago... if you want the full 3D take of the BC series, get the full price BC game that just came out.

But yeah, side scrollers tend to have that "pick up and play" quality over most "modern style" games, which tend to come with pretty steep learning curves. Protip: If you like side scrollers in general, google up a came called Hurrican. It's a fan made remake of Turrican, and it's a pretty good one. Also, Contra: Shattered Soldier rules.

Aug 9, 2009 - Are you serious? The main Bionic Commando remake is dreadful. Zero challenge, zero exploration and limited gameplay. This is not intended to be rude or derogatory towards you in anyway. But the remake in question is another example of casual games for casual gamers. The Wii generation. Bionic Commando Rearmed, on the other hand is a genuine remake of a genuine classic. The developers, Grin, have done a fantastic job of in this case but oddly screwed up the main game.
