sgib80 Says:

Aug 6, 2009 - Um, Jack does still play with Jorma. I see about 15 electric Hot Tuna and 9 or 10 acoustic Hot Tuna performances coming up later this year.

sc0ner Says:

Aug 7, 2009 - I'm surprised. He's been touring all over creation with Moonalice. I didn't think he'd have time to do Tuna. Honestly, HT rocks. Moonalice is OK, as supergroups go, but nothing special.

Aug 7, 2009 - can't believe it has taken me all this time to stumble on one of my HT tracks ...brilliant upload ..perfect in every way....thanks my friend for sharing this classic gem.....

Aug 7, 2009 - luckily I had saved it when I favorited Manns Fate, so when the fellow who originally posted it has his channel disappear I could put it back up for all to see. :)

Aug 17, 2009 - is that nigga ever gonna sing? ..nope

headwall07 Says:

Sep 1, 2009 - excellent rendition of one of HT's most excellent hits. I fondly remember having a pair of knee high moccasins like that, they went great with beads....unfortunately, with a thin leather sole, they wore out.

geobikegolf Says:

Oct 4, 2009 - Hot Tuna never gets the respect they deserve(acoustic or electric).Jack set the standard for the modern era rock bassist, a truly innovative musician.Jorma's fingerpick technique also set him apart.

woodycobain Says:

Oct 17, 2009 - Custom made bass, I don't recall if it was Alembic that made it or not.

Nov 10, 2009 - it looks to me like Jorma's playing a 60's model Gibson J50. pretty sure

Cap683 Says:

Nov 20, 2009 - Some of the Alembic founders modified a Guild Starfire bass with onboard electronics. The Guild Starfire bass at that time had single coil pickups made for them by Hagstrom which produced a highly sought after sound and helped produce the growl that part of Casady's sound. Alembic did make a custom bass for Jack Casady in 1972 that was their first complete production effort.
