Nov 18, 2009 - shauhwa is actually correct. jackie has used doubles before. in fact every single action actor in hk has used other stuntmen and some are not even to do with him not being able to do it. for the westerns dont assume using wires or stuntmen is a bad thing cos its not. having said that jackie does most of the insane stunts ever so hes the best

And yes sometimes he uses doubles to complete some dangerous stunts, is because maybe perhaps the insurance company wouldn't allow him to do it, or for any other safety reasons. Nonetheless, whether he uses doubles or not, he still makes great movies and i respect him for what he did especially the contribution he made to the entertainment world. He is still my idol, our idol.

Nov 18, 2009 - This has been covered before. Whether JC uses a double or not is the decision of the director. When JC directs, he comes up w/ the most dangerous stunts and does them all himself. When somebody else directs, the stunts are often less dangerous and, depending on the situation (injury, time, insurance, etc...), the director might not let JC do the stunt. Hence, 8 out of the 10 movies in this countdown are directed by JC himself.

Nov 21, 2009 - He wasn't a stunt double for Bruce Lee. In the scene that's in the video here, Jackie is the guy getting kicked through the air. Jackie also played a guard who is held and then gets his neck broken by Bruce Lee in the scene where Bruce fights off the guards before being captured in Enter the Dragon.
