Oct 2, 2009 - This song is the reason I learned to play electric Guitar. Every morning before I went to school I would play this record over and over and nearly always miss the school bus. Its a shame U2 turned out to be the greediest band on the planet.

Oct 12, 2009 - Consider that the lads were all of 21-22 years old here. Remarkable.

Oct 27, 2009 - ...and they're still together and selling out concerts all over the world to this day, 261/2 years later. U2 belongs up there near the top of the list.
klars2000 Says:
Oct 31, 2009 - Definitely at their peak....they were absolutely amazing. I thought it was just because i was a little kid, but this is The Edge and all of them at their best.

Nov 9, 2009 - I love U2 and there's no doubt that this music is incredible, but are you suggesting they peaked in the 3rd year of a career that's spanned 30 years and still going strong? Just asking.....
klars2000 Says:
Nov 9, 2009 - for me, take away all the success, just look at the performance and it looks to me like they had the most passion then. They were really jamming out in this and feeding off the crowd. Often times the ride up....trying to break out of the crowd of new bands and make your mark is when a band is best. They are fighting for everything and they were awesome then.
klars2000 Says:
Nov 9, 2009 - Although they have great concerts and are amazing live I am just not into stadium shows. These youtube recordings/dvds are better sounding than what a live concert sounds like unless you are one of the fortunate ones to be within 100 ft of the stage.
cinemavirtualis Says:
Nov 19, 2009 - Probably my alltime favorite U2 moment, and come to think of it, watching Red Rocks on MTV for the first time in the early 80s is what first made me a U2 fan, this part in particular, when he climbs to the top with the torches in the rain and fog and the helicopter searchlight and he goes "SHHHHHH" and then "two three four", I was just totally blown away by it and still am.
antipop73 Says:
Nov 21, 2009 - this was not their peak. this concert was not sold out and had a small crowd, which was partly due to the bad weather. Now, you could say the Joshua Tree was their peak, but even today they are selling out every concert in their tour. The Popmart tour was really the band's only low point, and even that was quite successful.
