Oct 20, 2009 - I agree Kantner was the core, but Balin and Slick's vocals sliding in harmony, and the great Casady Kaukonen... it was all of them together. I saw them sooo many times. This is a great clip I'd never seen before... thanks for posting!

Oct 28, 2009 - what is there to understand, go to T in the park Scotland and get a hit of pure musical culture from all over the world and you might even get offered some drugs

Oct 28, 2009 - well maybe I'm just jaded...but this music represented the peak of a form that never got much higher in my opinion...although some of those celtic rock bands are pretty awesome..

Nov 10, 2009 - I was back stage with them when they played in August 1971 in Central park. It was my first ever rock concert and i was 12. I went with a member of the airplane's opening act JF Murphy and Salt. The sax player in that band was friends with my dad and took me to the show. Met the whole band!!! One of my great memories. I remember them playing this song. Great!

magicminstrel Says:

Nov 10, 2009 - Listening to this, I still feel the electricity coursing through me that I felt listening to the Airplane live in SF in the 60's. They were the hottest, most musically skilled band on the scene, and just took us all out to ride the music. In my head, those times are eternal.
