Dec 8, 2007 - Well, I'd say Romana was pretty great...

mrshushie Says:

Dec 14, 2007 - Yes she was indeed, eventually. Ace was sort great too I reckon.

mrshushie Says:

Dec 20, 2007 - Speaking of great companions I think one of these days I'll have to get my backside trained so I can be this good at editing footage ect and do one for Ian and Barbara the originals and IMHO still the best!

uncannyrman Says:

Dec 20, 2007 - Leela is one of my favourite companions too.

penguinsloveDW Says:

Jan 16, 2008 - I love that bit from Talons of Weng-Chiang where she's testing out the cricket bat.

LindseyHabibi Says:

Apr 21, 2008 - What a magnificent character Leela is. Trouble was she was only written properly by Boucher and Holmes. Everybody else wrote her as thick(including Terrance Dicks in his novelisations) which she most certainly was NOT. If everbody else had written her properly together with Jameson's superb performance this characters potential could have been tapped a LOT better.

TheBigBlueBox Says:

Apr 30, 2008 - If you want a strong/smart Leela, listen to the Gallifrey audios. She's very good in them...

mrshushie Says:

May 3, 2008 - Aye, Agree with you both there. Leela has now had the most powerful and engaging post Doctor histories of any companion maybe Bernice. Great character finally being treated properly mind you I'll be contentious and say Tom Baker's primadonna attitude during Jameson's time probably didn't help.

grnlfe01 Says:

May 12, 2008 - great vid but you should have used the song warrior by Wishbone Ash

glnelson1956 Says:

May 15, 2008 - In the middle and latter stages of Baker's DrWho run, his attitude slowly and gradually, slid downhill. The Leela character had great potential, but never allowed to grow, became a cartoon character for much of her time in the series. Most of the limitations Leela faced as a character were probably due to Tom Baker's progressively worsening attitude at that time. Louise Jameson deserves a lot of credit for making the best of her situation through the 9episodes Leela was in!

teenageatheist Says:

May 20, 2008 - I can't believe they got rid of her by marrying her off to Andred; where did that even come from, seeing as they were barely in contact with each other for the duration of 'The Invasion of Time'! I see to remember Louise Jameson once remarking that her character would have had a more memorable final story if she'd sacrificed herself to save the Doctor or something similar, and I think she was right (even if it would have been very sad).

revengeofcleveland Says:

May 27, 2008 - she left too soon!

Howyaduing Says:

Aug 12, 2008 - what happen 2 the other videos that u had?

Trayusstudent1 Says:

Sep 6, 2008 - I think it was to help ease in the 5th Doctor. It was either Leela or Sarah Jane.

10thousand1blossums6 Says:

Oct 18, 2008 - My favorite companion!

billyysands Says:

Jan 11, 2009 - BEFORE I DIE I'LL SEE THIS RAT HOLE ANKLE DEEP IN BLOOD! yeah thats my kinda women!

whenisayrun Says:

Jan 20, 2009 - Wonderful wonderful Leela! What a gutsy bird. The first female companion never to scream.

Metroanime Says:

Mar 22, 2009 - really wish that they could bring Leela back, or a child thereof. They brought Sarah Jane back after all. Having a somewhat bloodthirsty warrior type would make for a better contrast against the Doctor's own attitude.

TheBigBlueBox Says:

Mar 27, 2009 - I don't know... what is Lucy Lawless doing these days? ;)

Metroanime Says:

Apr 2, 2009 - (pictures the Lucy Lawless version of Leela.) OK. THAT could work. Besides, who *wouldn't* want to see Davros or some similar baddie getting some suitable stabbity action?

montypython203 Says:

Apr 26, 2009 - Great vid. The song might not be that good, but it matches Leela so well. And I love Leela!

doctorwho87 Says:

Aug 16, 2009 - I think they tried that with the Doctor's Daughter and they got all preachy about violence :-\

TashkentFox Says:

Aug 27, 2009 - I named my dog Leela.
