Oct 8, 2009 - Due to your video I became aware of these Fenix lights. I bought this LD20. It is absolutely amazing! I give it a 5/5 stars. This flashlight is a top-investment. My only, and I do mean only* complaint, is that I can't stand it up to function as a lantern when the lanyard is attached.

Oct 9, 2009 - The LD10 is an excellent EDC can use lithium or typical batteries so as the LD20 but its longer both are excellent.

Oct 17, 2009 - I got the newer version with the pocket clip and man, it's sweet. Not only is it a great light but it is also a cool looking piece of gear. By the way the white "diffuser cone" was included when I bought mine. My wife had some comments about it which I dare not repeat here :)

Oct 21, 2009 - got the same light as coolstuffaddict, it's awesome, been having it a day and I can already tell i'm going to have this with me alot because its not as bulky as my surfire 6p led that i paid 90 bucks for. Didnt get any accessories for this thing yet but i love it. Thanks again nutnfancy!

Oct 22, 2009 - How does the light output compare to the 6P? An interesting datapoint might be that comparison test results for different 2xAA LED lights by the user "selfbuilt" on CPF show that the LD20 is the most energy efficient light in that category. I've been using this light a lot for over a week and I totally dig it. It fits in most of my pockets and is lightweight enough that I can forget that I have it on me.

Oct 22, 2009 - The surefire 6p was the most amazing light....until I bought the Fenix ld20, with it's multiple settings, it makes sense that this is the light to carry everyday however I actually like the surefire for home defense because it seems that the larger spot light part of the beam will make it easier to blind someone and the blue light seems brighter in the eyes. The Surefire's beam is comparable to the fenix ld20's in high mode (on, click twice in low mode).
noaffiliationsfr Says:
Oct 22, 2009 - I also have huge hands to pressing the button on the fenix is sometimes a hassle for me and in hi stress situations, the last thing i want to be thinking about is "what mode am i in". The surefire's brighness suits me perfectly for my home so it will remain my primary home defense light but the ld20 will definately travel with mee from day to day as that "everyday use light"
noaffiliationsfr Says:
Oct 22, 2009 - also forgot the mention that the ld20's spot light part of the beam is much crisper and defined than the 6p. Both lights have their strong points and will both remain my mostly used lights. Like nutn said, it's amazing that we can get all of this light output from two aa batteries that can be found anywhere. That's why I will use the LD20 more, because it's easy to replace or recharge the batteries and less expensive than replacing the batteries in the 6p led or incandescent version.

Oct 23, 2009 - Fenix has really come a long way.... but dude, ditch the gloves!

Oct 24, 2009 - I have the Fenix LD20 and Nitecore D20. The LD20 fits perfectly in the hand, is very bright, functional and rock solid. The D20 is a little bulkier and, because of the plunger system, a little less responsive. (The batteries move a little within the plunger and it takes a solid push on it to actuate.) I DO NOT own the Quark AA tactical but, it seems very much like the Fenix with more function. I would like to see "nutn" review the LED Lenser from Coast.

Oct 25, 2009 - Thanks Nutnfancy! I just got an LD-20! I love it! Super bright and tough.
Siewpor Says:
Oct 25, 2009 - One question (don't know if you have already mentioned it or not, watched this vid a month ago), does the lifespan of the LED decreases if I use it on Turbo all the time?

Oct 26, 2009 - I rated this very high. But I would of liked to have seen a camparison with the surefire Z3BK.

Nov 3, 2009 - Apparently, you haven't listened to those first five minutes when Nutnfancy explains that these reviews come from his experience, partially from military and l.e.. Something that is stressed in both is attention to detail. The minor details are what could mea n the difference between life and death for someone. You should appreciate the time that were given, as he has said it takes far longer to produce them.

Nov 5, 2009 - got my LD20 2 days ago. outstanding for the bike. Is there going to be a TA21 review?
mrfrankincense Says:
Nov 6, 2009 - yeah he can get a recent israeli military only bullpup that would be no point anyway because no one else can get one and he doesn't like bullpups
mrfrankincense Says:
Nov 6, 2009 - hey nutn, what do use to you mount an ld20 on your rails?
kevinjcarollo Says:
Nov 11, 2009 - Nutnfancy, what size rail mount would you use for the LD20? Specs show it to be 0.846in (21.5 mm), but the head to only be 0.8in. Would you use a 0.9 in mount? Thanks!
Randomthingz1 Says:
Nov 15, 2009 - The lumens on this light are 180, same as the Nitecore D20
roguespear2 Says:
Nov 18, 2009 - Fenix lights are outstanding in lumens, however i don' t like them because of their aluminum body (it is old and less convenient material than modern tough polymers in my opinion, for a flashlight) and also because of their messy applications: sometimes up to 4-5 (even 9) levels of output, strobe, flah an sos mode, all in one little light (general purposes, LE uses and survival resources are mixed together with the result of a less practical and intuitive tool in my opinion ).
roguespear2 Says:
Nov 18, 2009 - Moreover many of the fenix l. are almost identical (even in their names, easy to get mixed up:))...), they seem to be evolving prototypes continuously put on the market.......; i prefer dedicated and more rational products like Peli lights ,even without all the fenix's lumens, which are not necessary for many tasks i believe, even thogh they can be great for outdoor situations.

Oct 7, 2009 - Great everything light. I carry it everywhere via the included holster. This light also saved me over a lb of weight in my backpack (lantern and fuel canister) as there is no need to carry a lantern anymore if you have the white difuser. Outstanding product.
