Oct 18, 2009 - Japanese culture seems to be very timid at times and thats just a cultural difference and that can be understood, but here in the US we suppress feelings because it seems to show a sign of weakness to demonstrate how we feel. I think this video was great and makes me believe that our world might still have a chance if children all over the world are being tough by compassionate driven teachers like this. An example of 'bureaucratic incompetence: students take extra-curricular study courses to make it possible to pass the college entrance exams - almost 100% of students to attend college do this, and spend hundreds of hours a month preparing for a test. Yet, students still fail to reason and use judgment. Emphasis on Test Scores, not education.

Oct 21, 2009 - I want to become a teacher and in my present school we've watched this documentary. And I must say it's the most interesting and the most inspiring documentary I've ever seen. I would reccomend this to everyone and specially to teachers and everyone that wants to become one. I'm thankfull to have seen this and I will absolutely watch this again later.
