Oct 3, 2009 - I am grateful for the randomness of fortune that had me being born into a suburban, middle class family, on soil free of war, in a country filled with unimaginable wealth, where something as simple as a light bulb is taken for granted. Yet, in some ways I envy Mr. Kamkwamba. The pure wonder in his eyes when he arrives in New York makes me long for the same. By taking so much for granted, we miss out on the child-like, innocent joy that comes with exploration and discovery.

Oct 8, 2009 - You should see the picture of the circuit breaker he hand made as well. That it actually functions is quite amazing and very impressive. Know anybody that's hand crafted their own magnetic circuit breaker using nails, wire and wood?

Oct 8, 2009 - I'm 21 and I can say that we need more young people like this in the world. Unfortunately, though, we have a lot of distractions nowadays, such as internet, video games, and so much idiotic drama/fads. A lot of talented people who may have possessed talent similar to that of William's go untapped because, well, they falter. Great job, William. You make me proud!
