Jan 26, 2009 - A raw vegan diet that includes plenty of fruit stabilizes blood sugar levels. Foods that cause high blood sugar levels, such as cooked wheat products, potatoes, and soft drinks, are not included in raw vegan diets.

Jan 26, 2009 - A gorilla only eats raw fruit and veg and look at the muscle on them...huge...he makes alot of sense and you people who are brain washed into thinking otherwise are idiots...duh
ngarcia101 Says:
Jan 26, 2009 - there is a reason this guy says"I cant get body fat if I tried". He simply is not putting his body in a caloric surplus. He probably will never be able to if all he eats are raw vegetables and fruit.
willeblink Says:
Jan 27, 2009 - haha "you dont need protein to build muscle mass"
charityjunebug Says:
Jan 28, 2009 - You are right. I got my BS in Nutrition and have biochem background. However, as long as you are eating enough of the 22 amino acids, your body should be able to manufacture all the structural protein it needs. You don't need meat, dairy and eggs to do this.
vilma51kerney97 Says:
Jan 29, 2009 - This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. If you listen to him, you'll go wrong.
tmassbones Says:
Mar 1, 2009 - Until he builds a physique that has something like 18 inch arms he shouldn't be allowed to state theories like that. He is probably 15lbs overweight for an AVERAGE runner but his natural physique is probably larger than runners. Anyway, lets see him put on some real mass without protein then see him talk. Peace.
rajsanand Says:
Mar 8, 2009 - You find him scrawny do you even know how a lean body looks like. Look at his bones structure the guy is healthy. Why dont you post a photo of yourself and lets see how much muscle you have.
jtravis11 Says:
Mar 22, 2009 - hahahahaha....too much muscle mass?....you're hilarious dude
andysharifi Says:
Apr 2, 2009 - I have a BS in biology, and more than 5 years extra research. I know all about enzymes, amino acids, etc. There is truth to what he is saying. You can build nice muscle without eating a lot of protein, while eating amino acids (SPINACH!!). The ones who have a problem with this guy only view muscle building as massive body building. This info is good for getting a calvin klein body. For huge muscle, extra protein will help provide the extra amino acids you need to help you look like a gorilla.

Apr 4, 2009 - Health is the most important thing, IMO.
epsada Says:
Apr 5, 2009 - I agree with this guy, but I have a question if anybody can answer for me? why do all the hardcore raw food eating guys.Look gay and sound gay (feminine attitude) I don't say this as an insult. It is what it is look for your self is eating 100% raw is going to make me sound and look like those guys forget it LOL.. I will stick with my 65% raw
DarkChronicle93 Says:
Apr 10, 2009 - Protein is built up from chains of aminoacids...

Apr 13, 2009 - I love how this video has attracted a mass of bodybuilders, all hunching over their keyboards to tell this guy that he's too skinny.

Apr 18, 2009 - Epsada Research a super Strong tough guy named IGOR BOUTENKO, hes a 100 % raw vegan from Russia your opinion will totally change i guarantee it !
waynebw Says:
Apr 21, 2009 - Don't stereotype bodybuilders... there's a whole range of people saying that stuff, most of which don't hunch over their keyboard...
darius75240 Says:
May 26, 2009 - Yea.... research Bill Kazmaier. He is a three time World Strong Man Champion and he is not a vegan.
cdeavellar1 Says:
May 28, 2009 - this bullshit. you need protein. the amino acids maybe a part of the protein chain but you cant get enough amino acids without meat.
franknjess Says:
Jun 13, 2009 - Epsada has a point. Pure broscience would lead one to believe that these vegans and vegetarians are missing something - something that keeps their estrogen levels from exceeding those of women. They are very feminine. Very faggy. Look at vegans and vegetarians in their 60's and older. They ALL look like crap. Their eyesight goes to hell. Blind, weak, and femmy is no way for a man to go through life.
FearlessDotty Says:
Jun 13, 2009 - Individual amino acids are not affected by cooking. High heat denatures proteins by breaking and changing the bonds between amino acids. This is called denaturing the protein - or changing its folding pattern. This is why egg whites turn white when cooked and why enzymes become ineffective at high heat - they lose their shape and thus their function.
myksgrl Says:
Jun 14, 2009 - Sir, with all do respect, I would assume you are a good runner, and you might be content with your mass, but to me you are not muscular but you are fit. I agree for a distant runner you might not need as much protien, but for anyone that is actully focusing on power, lifting, sprinting, MMA. They need more protien than you. With that said, I strongly agree, that protien is extremely over rated and people consume way to much.

Jul 26, 2009 - You'll never know unless you try for yourself
TheTittylover09 Says:
Jul 29, 2009 - My friend, every human being on the face of this earth is different. You may have a genetic mutation that lowers your need for protien, but do not preach this to people. I am a coach and trainer, fine lets skip that. I'm a medical student. I'm telling you that protien is very important. You don't need 300 grams a day, and I don't use supplements, but you need to eat some protien.
lovermouse Says:
Jul 31, 2009 - I wonder how many more years this now outdated argument will continue? Person 1: Animal protein is necessary for muscle building. Person 2: No, it's not. Person 1. Yes, it is. Here's why... Person 2 No, it's not. Here's why... ... and on it goes. Good grief. Peace out, people.

Jan 25, 2009 - Also... LOL@ scrawny dude saying "I have too much muscle."
