Nov 22, 2009 - I think what the song meant about ads is that they are so powerful in setting trends and yet sometimes aren't being directed at the right consumers well enough that people are mislead into buying/using things that aren't necessarily good for them. That is why the videoo mentions that many 4th grade girls have been on a fad diet. Why? Because they see commercials and ads that claim that those products are for girls who want to be beautiful, often supported by images of super skinny models.
