I just hope you know what your doing considering that mustang has a complicated computer system that you dont want to screw around too much with if your not trained. Its easy to fry a $4,000 computer on a car. Like wise its easy to cross a wire by mistake and make the check engine light come on and then youll never get it inspected till the light is out.

Like wise being a kid or young with a nice car does the same thing. Another tip is dont try to race everyone. You can beat one person but not everyone. Case in point. You might beat one guy then come up against me and get left sitting at the light. Thats how life is for everything. But I am guessing thats the 4.6L V8 in it though.

But 5.2L would probably be around 320 CID or so considering 302CID is 4.8L but labeled 5.0L. But thats still a nice sized engine though. I am running a 5.8L in my daily driver as well as in my 66 replica race car. Thing is the replica is sporting a modern 5.8L all aluminum dry sump fuel injection.

I had a guy in a hopped up 87 Mustang with a 347 stroker (302 stroked) wanting to race my bone stock daily driver which is a highway cruiser not an fast accelerator. Like wise I drove my 66 to the shop when I was taking classes there still and he never once asked me to race cause he knew I would tear his horse up lol.

I also like building cars thats why this 66 replica was built from nothing. I started with a fiberglass body and a integrated rollcage/chassis and built everything for it myself from the transmission/driveline/engine/ect

I typically keep them but I am getting cars I dont personally care for so I wont feel so bad about selling them when finished. But it wasnt that much for this replica race car though. The total cost for everything came out to $35,000 for everything. Like wise the insurance company as well as the apprasials I had done all agreed on a $100,000 value really $105,000 but they said $100k was good enough and i agreed.
