Not only did he create the Shelby Mustang, but was also ditched by ford, which led to the birth of the viper. Shleby didn't create the viper, but his concept prototypes led to the creation of the viper. Great guy only to be ditched by ford in the early 80's. Got to love the gt500

Nov 24, 2009 - this is so bs that its funny...Camaro SS is equivelent of value as a Ford GT, not since everyone agrees that for GT is a pos and everyone cried about it, I would recomend a Cobra, 2010 Camaro SS vs 2010 Cobra, power is simmilar and chevy is still cheeper but its close enough. Shelby GT500 is not even close thats like dropping ina ZO6 in this race, GT500 is ZO6 level power, VIPER Power SS vs Cobra - STOCK!!!

Nov 24, 2009 - to be honest i'm just a big fan of American cars. and im sick of people comparing cars that shouldnt be compared (ex. GT500 vs SS). but i really have no idea why the camaro was discontinued. i think it would have helped GM at least a little bit, for awhile there wasn't a decent, relatively inexpensive sports car like the mustang available. they probably just ran out of ideas and needed to regroup and start something fresh. but i really have no idea.
