Nov 4, 2009 - Its an easy mistake because yes, thats true in general. But her tone was higher than that of a Contralto. A true Contralto in Popular music would be more like Karen Carpenter. Mezzo Sopranos like Patsy can have really bright tone on the high notes then a dark rich tone on the lowre ones. But it really doesnt matter. Sorry to be a pain.
