May 29, 2008 - And greetings to the UK (was no place left in my last message) from Austria! Mr.K

Jun 20, 2008 - I would rather spend $10 more for the KS buckle v4 aka. tough with Q5. The output is close to 110 lm, just a lil but fatter and longer than the E01. HA II, OP reflector, digitally regulated, 8+ hour runtime. And the beam is not bluish/purpleish, but a soft warm white. =D This light has very nice rating on CPF

Jul 11, 2008 - Good review man! I love Fenix, P1 CE is on my keys, also P3D is a great torch for home/outdoors. regards

Jul 11, 2008 - Cool i'll be getting one of these now!!!
Thephotonshop Says:
Jul 12, 2008 - I have a P1D CE permanently in its holster on my belt. Great torch, totally forget it's there until I need it so it's ideal for every day carry.

Jul 17, 2008 - Is there no protective glass in front of the LED?
Thephotonshop Says:
Jul 18, 2008 - Hi, no protective glass on this one but the LED is well recessed to avoid damage.

Jul 28, 2008 - Nice detailed review though you've seem to forget to mention the price and where you got it from!

Jul 28, 2008 - Hi, click the "more info" button and check out the link to our website. The E01 is available in five colours from TPS and several of our dealers.

Aug 11, 2008 - Thanks Tom.

Sep 26, 2008 - I can't find any info on your torch recommendation. Do you have a link to it? The lack of a glass on the front clinches the EO1 as no good for me. Pity, as I was sold on it till that point came up. It'd get broke pretty quick on my keychain with all the other stuff I carry.
blauwepiet Says:
Sep 27, 2008 - i highly doubt that keychain carry can destroy an e01 the led is recesed in the reflector. its 4 mm deep in the reflector and even then the les is held inplace by the way they placed the led in the reflector
raindog951 Says:
Sep 27, 2008 - You're probably right. Paranoia on my part. I've ordered a small Romisen torch now though. Not as small and handy as the EO1, but a good and cheaper alternative. Having said that I'll probably end up getting the EO1 as well....It's just so handy.....

Oct 9, 2008 - great review I appreciate it

Nov 14, 2008 - I recommend the Fenix E1 instead of the E0. For only $5 CDN more, you get a much brighter flashlight (12 lumens vs the E0's 5.5 lumens). It is about 1 cm longer but it is well worth it.
balaclavaman Says:
Feb 16, 2009 - You are wrong Flamescity. The E01 is 10 lumens and the discontinued E1 is 12 lumens. The flashlight youare talking about had only 3 hours runtime. The E01 has 7 hour runtime up tp 50% with NIMH eneloops.
balaclavaman Says:
Feb 16, 2009 - I´m sorry.The E01 lasts 10 hours on eneloops until 50% output.

Mar 11, 2009 - Great video, the one thing I wish you wouldve included is the dark display of the light, but the video is great.

Jul 5, 2009 - Check out the Microstream, it's 20 lumens for 20 hours on one AAA battery.

Aug 21, 2009 - I carry the LD01 myself, same out put as this but also with 27lm for 3.5hr and a masive 80lm for 1hr. Yes it's twice the price but for me it's worth it. Had it for only a few moths but already 3 of my mates have seen it and had me order them one.
flamescity Says:
Aug 27, 2009 - Actually balaclavaman , you are wrong. I was comparing the E1 with the E0, not the E01.

Antigoblinius Says:
May 29, 2008 - I've got mine always with me too. It's so tiny it fits everywhere and 12h light+ for one single AAA that`s WOW!. There are a very bit smaller and stronger lamps then the E01 but they cost more (60$ up) and compared to 15$ of the E01 - for me it wins. On the other hand I nearly always (!) have my modified 6P with 260lm output (for over 1h) with me too but for some jobs the small E01 is even better and it doesn't matter if you have it with you or not concerning weight or size, really not.
