Nov 21, 2009 - i think that the doctors are getting softer in these new series' i mean first you had Christopher Eggleston (best doctor by far) - who acted realy tough and charismatic as the doctor. then you had David Tennant - who was less tough but just as charismatic and the second best doctor to date. but this new guy matt smith - he realy lacks on screen presance, charisma, and i am realy aprehensive as to his portrail of the doctor. also, rumour is that they are going to change the tardis interior

Nov 21, 2009 - Don't pre-judge the guy on an interview as "him" - wait for the actual series. Some of the best actors (eg, Peter Sellers) had little or no personality in real life - and that's what makes them good actors, their ability to be a mirror, or a sponge, for another character. NB - not saying Matt Smith IS going to be good, just saying that him not being that interesting in an interview doesn't mean anything. (See also Daniel Craig pre James Bond)

I dont think Matt will be as good as David and Christopher, but im gonna give him a chance lol. I will deffo cry when David leaves though, just like when Billie did!

Nov 22, 2009 - It's just like when Chris was announced to be leaving for David, we all thought David would be shit and the show would die, but it didn't, he became the best Doctor ever to take the role. Perhaps it's best to give Matt the benefit of the doubt, I for one am fascinated to see how he'll perform. Genuinely exciting stuff.
