At times the cameras are dollying around Bono or Edge from a few feet away, (not zoomed) and when it cuts to a far shot there are no cameras there. Audio sounds live, Edge uses a "shimmer" effect on his guitar in this and others where it sounds like a keyboard playing simultaneously. They also have backing samples that go through their songs live.

Nov 4, 2009 - after the joshua tree was recorded u2 went on tour in 1987 and that is when they started using bits and bobs of tracks and such like ...live they use guitar parts bass parts drum parts and keyboards parts not all at the same time but where the song needs it ...but the important thing to remember is they always play live ...ok lets leave it at that ...

All I said was that use samples which they have been using since The Unforgettable Fire tour, (the opening of BAD for instance) and that here they seem to have filmed either at a soundcheck or after the fact some closeup pickup shots.which is VERY common.
