Nov 1, 2009 - 'Platform Shoes' didn't become in vogue until about '73 or '74 lasted maybe a year or two -but that was IT! As far as I remember, the only guys interested in them were either soon-to-be gay (men) or confused types..

Nov 1, 2009 - We were all happily baked back then. The boots had heels similar to cowboy boots, everyone wore them, especially guys in the band...when you didn't go barefoot or in sandals. It was a statement. Like hair.

Nov 1, 2009 - One of my all-time favorites, they were incredible. When I saw them in Denver a few years ago...passing a joint (with strangers) passing a jug of Fuzzy Navels...I thought I could die happy right then and there.

Nov 1, 2009 - Excellent. We all used to wear cowboy or western boots as some people called them, back in the seventies/early eighties. Were great for riding motorbikes as they give good protection. Remember my first pair when I was 14! Mate of mine had moon boots - just like Ozzy Osbourne's on Sabotage album. Added about 7 inches to his height, but his girlfriend made him get rid of em. Song conjures up days sat round in summer, passing a doobie, nothing on our minds besides having a great time. Heady days.
