K we all know you can stand on a chain. for example when it swings right his body wants to follow this is inertia, as the chain swings around he is able to stop his inertia because the chain is now what he can push off of. now the chain has a set size and shape and it is solid. and we all know from physics that the chain wants to stay the shape and gravity forces it down as well.
