Nov 14, 2009 - The problem with Gambon's dumbledore certainly wasn't the actor, it was the costume department. His appearance is what puts people off. If they gave him a white elegant beard, colouful robes and ditched that stupid hat, then his perfomance would have seemed so much better , like it was in HBP. Please don't bash Gambon as he is a sweet, funny and clever old actor who doesn't deserve such criticism. Bash the costume designers, they screwed up.
