Nov 5, 2009 - Green beetle few times passed. They had no money for more cars? :] It shouldn't be so characteristic. Do you maybe know the title of an american movie, which had a scene of few-floor garage pursuit. I remeber one of the guys beeing shot, when the cars finally stood still. I've seen it 15-18 years ago, it was 70ties movie i think. Thanks

Nov 8, 2009 - American Iron. I owned a 1968 GT Mustang 390 V8. It was way underrated in horsepower. The Hemi Charger was hot to, but not in handling. The Ford was one of the fastest cars I ever owned. Wish I had it still.

UltimateWheelman Says:

Nov 9, 2009 - Agreed. Hickman was also in the French Connectin chase and the Seven-Ups chase, so he was in 3 of the best ever chases, and there's no way it was coincidence since Hickman had so much say in each chase. Legend. :)

Nov 22, 2009 - Steve McQueen did all his own driving in the great scene.

MeatydaTreat Says:

Nov 23, 2009 - amen brotha

Gunbei2 Says:

Nov 24, 2009 - Just wanted to mention that while McQueen did do his own stunt driving in the film, he didn't do all of it. A good portion of it was handled by Bud Ekins, who also happens to be the guy laying down the motorcycle in the scene. Bill Hickman the wheelman of the Charger R/T actually did do all his own driving. In fact, he helped choreograph much of the chase. I love both these cars, and the sounds are just incredible. So primal. So visceral. I could listen to it all day.
