Sep 21, 2009 - Eddie looks so bored. Like hes thinking 'I can play keyboard. Everyone knows. But all I need to play is this one finger riff.' Awesome song. :)

TheMemberForHiggins Says:
Sep 22, 2009 - Were they based in Melbourne by this time? (Given the photo at the start) This was one of the earliest songs I remember really, really liking as a child. That chorus damn near brought tears to my eyes long before I could fully understand the sentiment.

Sep 26, 2009 - Paul Hester was drummer at the time - he's in the clip

Oct 12, 2009 - 25 Years ago...... scary! Seems like yesterday! If I remember, it was the very first video only to use one continuous shot from one camera.

Oct 14, 2009 - That's the awesome power of music! I know just what you mean.

Oct 21, 2009 - This takes me so far back into my memories as to make me cry... What a lovely anthem. God bless them...

Oct 23, 2009 - My dad went to school with Tim Neil Finn at Sacred Heart College, Auckland, NZ. They rock harder.

Oct 23, 2009 - This gave me a raging boner hard enough to cut glass with.
AngryShutIn Says:
Oct 23, 2009 - Is that really Hessie? He didn't get much screen time, so I could barely tell. What a sad and horrible loss to the music world.
Sdblahm67 Says:
Oct 24, 2009 - Yes for sure that's Hessie, he was drummer on their last album. Early Crowded House was really Split Enz minus Tim, they had Eddie Rayner on keyboards and played alot of Enz songs at their early gigs in Melbourne . We used to go for brunch at Hester's cafe when we were living in StKilda, he'd pop in every now and then with his kid. Appeared pretty chilled out, but then you never really know.
negait Says:
Oct 26, 2009 - Funny how all those awesome songs from the 80s had such terrible film clips!
seriousbe Says:
Oct 29, 2009 - I don't like Split Enz other songs at all,but this one is breath taking!!
wert121998 Says:
Oct 30, 2009 - I'll have to admit I've never been a real fan of Split-Enz, but I've always loved this song...not a bad clip either!

Nov 2, 2009 - 1984 was a great time for pop music in America; I was having so much fun that I didn't realize what I was missing-like this great music!
Irishdrummer63 Says:
Nov 3, 2009 - Used this song and lines from it to clumsily woo a few girlfriends in the 1980's. Thanks, Neil. An underrated genius.
whozituseit Says:
Nov 14, 2009 - This song is beautiful and I love the vid. nowadays it would be full of women with with no clothes on and Neil begging them to love him.
Ekfud Says:
Nov 15, 2009 - There is something wonderfully understated about the lyrics - "No there's nothing quite as real As a touch of your sweet hand" Always good to hear a love song that doesn't go straight for the 'shake yo booty'...
Prolly78 Says:
Nov 18, 2009 - gooooooooood
terrafirma91 Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - Another creative song from this unorthodox band. This is what makes any artist special: Their own "hook", and Split Enz had one. Thanks for the upload. 5 Stars.
TheKanaraja Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - ..."it's no new years resolution....it's more than that..." Totally agree with you about the lyrics...not too straight forward, yet not too poetically complicated!

Sep 20, 2009 - Hi all, just a clarification on their roots. In an iterview a few years go. Neil and Tim Finn said they said they don't mind being claimed by both countries.( NZ OZ). You see, they could'nt care less. They started in NZ and got promoted more in Australia. And hey I was born in NZ!
