He was going blind etc...and she said she sat there, right next to him while he was in bed for hours. Even if he was sleeping or awake. She cared for him, comb his hair, and didn't leave his side and all the while she was pregnant and had a little infant already. As for the make up, yes, they were trying to mask his illness.
