Nov 4, 2009 - Dude, stop hatin' on technology. What are you, Amish? People probably had the same thoughts years ago about our current technology. So far, it has helped instead of hurt. Let it happen. I don't want to be stuck in the pre-space age forever. Things change. Give Microsoft a chance to get better. Let the times progress or GTFO!
Settesh Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - Who would have thought that people could afford PCs 30 years ago?
Settesh Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - Hopefully, by then we won't have to worry about it.
Settesh Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - It breaks the language barrier. Remember, this is just an idea. I, for one, would like to do away with the clunky keyboards and mouses and go with the awesome touch screen stuff shown in this video.
osamabad Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - I agree on the language barrier, but to actually have them communicating through a gigantic screen is a bit excessive. Can't they communicate just as well on a computer screen? As for your comment about keybords, that's what I'm talking about. How lazy are we as a society that we actually see things like typing on a keyboard as a problem? What's the matter sweetheart? Afraid of spraining your pinky? I'm not against technology. I'm just aginst technology that doesn't solve any real problems.
osamabad Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - No moron, I'm talking a machine that can grow food better and faster than our current technology. I mean, if we can constantly improve on useless things like most of the things on this video, can't we use our resourses to come up with solutions to real problems?
Settesh Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - Ultimately, computers will just be used for analyzing data and running simulations. Any solutions to world hunger will be done by hand with the aid of computers to generate information.
osamabad Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - Hey Settesh. You seem to be such a big advocate of technology, but you're forgetting that technology doesn't really make the world better. There are just as many problems as now as there were 100 years ago. Btw, Amish? That's typical of people like you. You think we have to agree with ALL technology or NO technology. It's not a binary system. We can agree with some but not all. Unlike you, some people have brains and are actually selective in what they think is necessary.
osamabad Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - Yeah, but none of that is in this video is it? That's my point. They should show stuff like that instead of useless crap that's just used for show.
Settesh Says:
Nov 5, 2009 - If things don't look nice and fancy, people won't want it.
osamabad Says:
Nov 5, 2009 - That's my point. People care about the wrong things.
xppower2001 Says:
Nov 7, 2009 - isn't some people debet if mechine make food easiler will make people lay off?
osamabad Says:
Nov 7, 2009 - What? I can't understand your question.
DashFlux Says:
Nov 9, 2009 - ok so back to actual comments, i like this, this is nice
DashFlux Says:
Nov 9, 2009 - They have, they just don't release it to the public, its stupid to see people shoot down Microsoft saying they're incompetent programmers, they just don't give us the good shit. be it for beta testing purposes or just to skyrocket the profit margin for the next product that actually works (i.e. Windows 7) most conform to MAC's near fascist point of view while Microsoft is really throwing MAC a bone IMHO.

Nov 10, 2009 - HOLY SHIT This LOOKs awesome!!!! i can't wait for the future! i like the present just fine but omg constantly updating newspapers that turn into blueprint, phones that disconnect and do gps, the computer desktop is the killer. dude this is a magnificent prediction of our world in the next 10-20 years
thadeus27 Says:
Nov 10, 2009 - This will never happen. Its a nice dream tho. its all good until it rains on your e-paper and you get fried. Do you think that companies will use e-paper just to throw it away later? Imagine a trash can of epaper. That cant be good to have a garbage dump of 1000 different kinds of e-coffee cups and e-toothbrushes. lol
fratboyfrat Says:
Nov 15, 2009 - 2019?! No way. That's like when people said we'd have rocket cars by 2000.

Nov 16, 2009 - As far as I've ever seen we have this stuff in a very basic sense. VERY basic.
monoham1 Says:
Nov 16, 2009 - yeh id say this is more an add for microsoft than anything... like how they said their microsoft table would revolutionalise everything, but 1 its too expensive and 2 nobody would buy it if it wasnt same as this, no1's gonna buy 5 screens for their computer when they can interface just as well through wi-fi from their PC to their lounge room 80inch oled tv
TrojenMonkey Says:
Nov 20, 2009 - It seems the future is Apple. Touch screens for everything, are these guys just trying to publicize these current-day products? _ This is a very blurry vision ahead, economic and practical wise.
mariomanmitch Says:
Nov 23, 2009 - It would be crap everytime you dropped some type of computer it would shatter. "what are you cleaning up there on the ground, did you break a glass?" "oh no,.... this is my laptop computer....."

Eurekamediadesign Says:
Nov 4, 2009 - thats true.... but what i was thinking is about the resource-based economy more than money itself.... we as humans have enough for everyone but a little bunch of people have it all.... 20% of the population have 86% of the economics wealthless somethings wrong there
