Sep 17, 2009 - You're assuming that you have to either believe in God or science. Personally, I don't believe that universe was created on a whim by an invisible giant in the sky whose only contact with humanity is mass genocide every couple of hundred years, and I don't believe that the universe started because a load of nothing exploded for no apparent reason. I really don't see how it matters. We're here. Does it really matter how? Just enjoy life instead.

Totaltwist Says:

Sep 17, 2009 - I never make that dichotomy as you can easliy believe in god and believe in science. I take issue with those stating their personal god is real, tangible and they know which is his best selling book of things you should and should not do. Also the big bang is not a theory of nothing exploding. Its a bit of misnomer.

BrianTheGoldfish Says:

Sep 20, 2009 - I expect that the main reason you don't believe that the universe started because a load of nothing exploded for no apparent reason would be that that is silly and nobody anywhere believes that. The fact that serious astrophysics can be misunderstood so thoroughly and frequently is vexing. And with respect, it matters to some people because it's interesting. Your enjoyment may not rely on learning new things about the cosmos and that's fine, but many others do derive enjoyment from that.

AndyMcCy Says:

Sep 21, 2009 - the fact that we are able to have this conversation is miraculous and no amount of science could explain that but science is amazing with evolution and the solar system, life is about finding common ground between religion and science and i believe in both

Henners1991 Says:

Sep 21, 2009 - I'm an atheist; but when it comes to what made the Universe... I really don't care, I find theoretical physics almost as annoying as biblical academia.

fattymattyweasel Says:

Sep 21, 2009 - Everyone accept it there is no evidence for a god and no evidence for there not to be god the smartest men in the world ever to have existed hawking newton Darwin Einstein Galileo and every other scientist have had different opinions and no-one is calling them stupid. What happened before the universe is to complicated a matter for our current level of anything to understand now go and make the world that bit better of a place. FOR EVERYONE

fattymattyweasel Says:

Sep 21, 2009 - And it must be pointed out that the big bang theory is not an explanation of how the universe was made but what happened and straight after to follow the sequence of events to us right now.

sakib1990 Says:

Sep 23, 2009 - Guys I am a thiest and I can be here all day arguing about God's existence. However this is a COMEDY sketch and I think we should just sit back and laugh regardless of our theological/philosophical backgrounds and admire the humour of the sketch

soulofshiver Says:

Sep 23, 2009 - Love the Reverand playing the part of the skeptic.

zoidbetag Says:

Sep 27, 2009 - The whole..."what happens after we die" question is just stupid....nobody came back to tell us whats its like...i belive that when i die i will go to a beautful place called heaven and play video games with a man called jesus...Got a problem with that? :D....and if you die and nothing happens...well...nothing happens, thats it, nobody is happy, nobody is unhappy...its just it, have a nice day.

zoidbetag Says:

Sep 27, 2009 - ooh, and another thing...keep religion to urself...i hate seeing preachers on the streat yelling at ppl and holding a bible....religion is for your spirit...scaring old ppl and children on the street wont help...

Sep 29, 2009 - The end was the best. "Oh no wait, not that!"

Mysterioux Says:

Oct 1, 2009 - I think this show would be a million time better without canned laughter. It's intelligent enough and has enough subtleties for the viewer to find it as funny as they feel like - all the laughter coming on suddenly feels quite jarring, like we're being told when to laugh.

smithdeep Says:

Oct 6, 2009 - Call a prostitute i supose lmao

Stevie770 Says:

Oct 10, 2009 - shut up

R1cku1n0x Says:

Oct 10, 2009 - Hey . I know this is an old post but just for anyone reading this . The "Big bang theory" does not state that nothing exploded. In fact the term "big bang" term was coined by skeptics to the theory. It actually states that the universe expanded from a singularity. There was no explosion or fire and in fact matter only formed once the universe was cool enough for atoms to form. This expansion is proven. What caused it is unknown.

mapend Says:

Oct 12, 2009 - surprisingly, it's not canned. If they don't perform the sketch live, the show it to audiences and record the laughter. I think they use the previously shot sketches a filler while they prepare for the next sketch they are going to do life.

fattymattyweasel Says:

Oct 23, 2009 - Calm down.

Samwd1 Says:

Oct 31, 2009 - It's so much easyer to say god did the explosion because no point to going into deep science crap if we never use it.

R1cku1n0x Says:

Oct 31, 2009 - "Deep science crap" lol. Well the same mathmatic principles that produced computation that you are benefitting from right now as you browse the web, are used in quantum mechanics and big bang theory as well as string theory. The only people who dont use it or dont benefit from it are people who are ignorant and uneducated.. Its easier to say god does it? that doesnt mean a god did and as such some of us want to know what really happened. you have sentience people, use it.
