Jul 18, 2009 - What kind of leses are produced here? Anyway...some steps in the process remind me of the middle ages and i understand why 3 samples of the 950€ Canon 17-55 2.8 i tested all looked different but suffered from extremly soft edges and corners while the press says that this lens is sharp from corner to corner and i have seen samples that are much better than my copy....

Jul 23, 2009 - The Illuminati aka bluebloods like the Rothschilds, Rockefellars, Windsors, Al Gore, Al Pike etc rule Freemasonry. They'll probably force-vaccinate many with toxic garbage in Fall, start WW3, implement internet 2 Codex Alimentarius and stage an alien invasion to go a world government with you microchipped, so resist! Support Oracle Broadcasting, Dr. Deagle, David Icke Project Camelot!

Jul 31, 2009 - Geez, simple materials are enough to make a good lens the $800.

Aug 1, 2009 - So interesting...I like the song they used in the first half. Anyone know what it is?

Aug 6, 2009 - I think all of their music is unique to the show. It might have been made in something like Sony Acid. I know some of the riffs they use in shows like American Chopper are in that program so perhaps they use it for other programs as well.

Aug 8, 2009 - yes but how do they make "Optical" glass?

Aug 14, 2009 - you should find how they make canon lenses, it's on youtube it's a lot better than this one
mtranda Says:
Aug 19, 2009 - Well, I'm pretty sure you can read about the technological process. However, seeing that it's just a block of glass, I'm pretty sure it's less "interesting", seeing that it will mostly involve a couple of chemical and thermal treatments rather than distinctly different processes.

Aug 27, 2009 - what would suck is after 6 weeks, your factory burns down

TheCrudMan Says:
Sep 8, 2009 - And yet all lenses, new, used, whatever, typically have dust in the optics that doesn't effect the image.
polarbear60 Says:
Oct 16, 2009 - I suspect if the particles were large enough they would affect the image?

Oct 30, 2009 - soooo much manual labour
wlolold Says:
Nov 7, 2009 - Six weeks for one lens?!!! That can't be how major manufacturers operate! Impressive as it looks, it doesn't seem very modern and efficient! Like gwhoosh said, the process today must be much more automated with less room for human error.
rpseeley Says:
Nov 7, 2009 - Geez! No wonder good lenses cost so much!
